AFFC1526DW3 Frigidaire Freezer - Instructions

Opened mailer and bag and place the drain plug into the drain. fit perfectly. In fact it is better than the one lost since the original needed a screwdriver or tool to remove the plug. This one has a flang or finger turner on it so that it can be removed. Also, does not interfere with items in bottom of freezer.

After removing the key from its shipping package I pushed it into the freezer locking slot and turned it to lock and unlock the lid and then removed it. I had no problems with this fix. I removed the plate (recommend using a magnetic phillips head screw driver to remmove screws which are recessed). I removed the old part and pushed the new part through the hole and carefully reached in behindto attach the wires to the new part.

Ordered the Capacitor and the Thermostat Control. Parts were received in a matter of a few days, easy to install, but did not fix the problem. Had to call a repairman to fix the problem (compressor relay - this part not available to order for this model number with Parts Select). A little research told me the hum plus no cooling was either the compressor or the relay. I ordered the new relay and put it in but it didn't fix the problem. I ended up having to buy a new fridge, but it was worth the $30 gamble to see if I could fix it on the cheap and it saved me the money a service call would've cost. Pretty easy i ... Brought replacement key works just like original I thought it would be metal from reviews but it was plastic and still works perfectly

It's easy to know how to use a key. I didn't have a difficult part, I didn't have the model # because I had lost my key and the model # is inside. I give him a A+ four taking that extra step, unlike the other places. Very satisfied!

My freezer had not been working for some time. People who rented the house weren't aware of what happened.Upon a cursory inspection, it appeared the problem was electrical, and after opening the freezer, it looked like a wire was damaged. Removed 2 screws holding front bottom vent grille. . Through opening behind grille found broken part of switch hanging on wires. Removed wires from switch and fed them out through hole for mounting switch, connected wire and pushed into place. The greatest difficulty encountered was my 82 year old knees.

per the video..easy installation....unfortunately the temperature did not improve. We still have a refrigerator temp in the upper freezer.....and a "cooler" in the refrigerator section

I should have ordered start kit instead of start capacitor. The start cap astir did not fix problem so I ordered kit. Compasator comes as part of kit. Followed enclosed instructions. Cut existing wires and reconnected new wiring. Simple as that. It's a plug in item. Now worried it may be working to good. Freezer down to 10 deg. Watching ... I watched the videos (they really help) and followed the steps. Everything went smooth with no surprises

Removed bottom cover , just two screws , slid old part through install hole and removed wires from old switch and installed on new switch. Installed new switch in same hole and pushed gently until it locked in place. Reinstalled bottom cover and done.
