ADE25K3H Admiral Dryer - Instructions

The dryer was not difficult to repair. The diagram that came with the belt made the repair easy. The repair part came in a very timely manner.

I replaced it

Removed the two screws at the back that hold the top of the dryer. Then I pried off the top at the front by inserting a screwdriver into the front to remove the top from the clips. Then I tilted up the top like a car hood.

Read more ached to the front, I made sure to turn the front aside without pulling on the wires. After removing the broken belt, I put the replacement belt over the front of the drum, lifting the drum a little. Then I threaded the belt over the drive and around the tension wheel per a diagram I found on the web.

While I had the front off, I removed the lint trap and cleaned out probably decades worth of lint.

Then I replaced all the parts in reverse order, plugged it in and had a working dryer!

I pried the top of the dryer with a screw driver and then lifted the top of the dryer, I then removed the two screws "with a nutdriver" that held the door in place and then removed the door and drum. I then got the new belt and placed the belt over the drum and positioned the belt through the idler arm and then on the motor pulley. I had ... Read more to hold the door and drum to lock the bottom of the dryer door to the dryer and then made sure the rear drum seal was in place and the belt did not slip off the motor pulley

It was easy to remove the lint trap first, then the front dryer panel. The drum easily was removed and installing the new belt was a little tricky because the belt had to be mounted onto pulley while holding the drum in place. When the dryer drum stopped tumbling, I followed the instructions on PartsSelect to remove pop the top of the dryer and then remove the screws to remove the front panel. Then I could see the broken belt underneath the drum.

I did pull out the drum itself to get a better look at the motor and pulley to see where the new belt wou ... Read more ld need to go. I replaced the drum by pushing it back and then rotating it so it would fit back into the groove on the rear panel.

Once I received the new belt, I followed the steps included with the belt package to loop the new belt around the drum and then thread it over the pulley and around the motor.

The entire repair was very easy and so much cheaper than buying a new dryer.

Disassembled dryer to gain access. Cleaned out dryer and installed new belt. Reassembled dryer and checked function.

First I removed the back panel (and found out later when I received the belt from Partselect.com, that this was unnecessary). I followed the instructions that came with the belt and removed the top panel and then the front panel. I placed a piece of wood under the drum for support so that it would not be just hanging from the back. Then ... Read more I found the broken belt lying on the bottom, and a pulley that was unhinged. I replaced the pulley following the instructions, and vacuumed the motor and all around. I put the new belt around the drum and then through the pulley and onto the motor axle. I replaced all the panels and the dryer is now working like new.

Lift top of dryer. Remove two 1/4" screws that hold the front panel. Disconnect the two wires on the door switch. Lift front panel to remove. Lift drum enough to install the new belt. Reach in to place the belt on the motor and tension pulley. Replace the front panel. check for free rotation of the drum and belt. Close top. Done.

So, after I decided to do it myself, I ordered a new belt from part-select. Once the belt arrived, I went back to for help. There was an extremely useful video among the results. The whole thing took me about 20 minutes as I was doing it all by myself. I followed the steps and was able to replace the dryer belt very easily and I am so very thankful to have a working dryer again before the onset of rain and cold!

Unplugged the dryer. Released the two forward sping clips holding the top in place and hinged it open. Removed the two 1/4" screws(one on each upper edge of front panel). Disconnected the door switch. Pulled out and up to remove the front panel. Located the cycling thermostat on the blower housing. Disconnected the thermostat wires, r ... Read more emoved the (2) 1/4" screws. Installed the new thermostat and assembled in reverse order.

My Dearest One removed the screws that held the part that covers the bulb; removed the old bulb, put in the new bulb and replaced the cover.
The whole operation took less than 5 mins.

I took the top of the drier off by remoing two screws in back of drier. I also removed the two screws in the lint trap. Tnen i pushed the top in a little and lifted up the lidand leaned it on a 4x4 so it would not pull out the electrical wires, I then took the front of the drier off by removing the 2 screws from the inside of the drier. Read more held the drum up so it would not fall After pulling the front off, i put it to the side and stood the front panel up so I could take the drum off and put the replacement belt around the drum. I thenputh the drum back in the same place and pulled the belt thru the Idle pully and wrapped it arond the motor pulley. While you are putting on the belt, either cut a small 4x4 or have someone hold the drum up. Then put the front panel and the top back on. This was made easy by reading another repair story. first pryed up the dryer top, pulled the two wires for the door switch and removed front panel. remove 8 or 10 blower housing cover 1/4" screws. removed blower moter shaft snap ring pulled out damaged blower wheel. slid on the new wheel with the flats on the shaft and new wheel alighned up. installed blower clamp around blower stub. insta ... Read more lled motor shaft snap ring. reinstalled blower cover cover. installed front dryer cover to include installing door switch wiring. put down top and pushed dryer back into place making sure to install the blower vent hose. started dryer to test operation. all worked well the first time.

First I had to find my way into unit . I took out screws that didn't have to come out, but eventually I found my way in. I took out the drum put the belt over it and through the tightener then over the motor pulley. I then put the sheet metal back on and the job was done.
