ADB1400AGS3 Maytag Dishwasher - Instructions

I checked the manual to determine the code meaning for 7 blinks, it was heating issue. I ordered the part from Partselect.com. When the part came in, I googled the internet for "How to replace a dishwasher heating element". There were several options, I chose one that was a video showing a handyman go through each step. I followed the ... Read more steps, with no problems, and WA-LA! Felt good (as the wife of the house) to do it myself!

Pulled dishwasher out unplug the wire on each side unscrew the nut on each side lift up in the back of element pull it out on metal holder for element and put the new one in really easy thanks so much for the help!!

Disconnected power,water supply and drain.Had to pull dishwasher out to access the heater element nuts. Removed broken element and replaced with new part. Repair very easy!

this job is cake. worst part is removing dishwasher from cabinet. Disconnect water , drain , and power. reove mounting screws in upper door area. Pull unit out and lay it on its face. unplug two wire leads and remove big nuts. Roll unit upright and replace heater. roll unit back over and tighten nuts and plug leads back in. It really take ... Changed the seal first, very easy, no tools needed either. Helped a little, but still leaking a lot. Changed the lower spray arm and that did it. The video I watched before changing the seal helped a lot, definitely do that first.

Just snap it in

Looked at how the other was installed oh and bought 2 for when the other one fails. Great customer service!!!!

Unscrewed bottom panel of the dishwasher and simply replaced the bad control switch with the new one.

Installed brackets

Solution was very simple with the side mounting bracket kit, the only problem was somehow one of the brackets was damaged out of the box . There's a slight off-set on the bracket to allow it to fit properly next to the dishwasher but this one had been flatten out. Also, brackets are fairly heavy gage metal so it would have taken some amount of force to do this. Fortunately I was was able to bend it back into a useable shape. It wasn't perfect to look at but because it's mounted behind the side of the dishwasher it didn't matter as long as it worked.

I loooked up the main problems associated with that model which is provided on the website and ended up ordering a heating element and a thermostat. I replaced both parts it took me about 30 minutes. The dishwasher is working again and my wife is very happy. Thanks guys!!!

I pulled the dishwasher out from the countertop rolled it to the side removed old clamps and hose installed new hose in kind used different hose clamps than provided turned up right pushed back in ran a cycle while looking underneath with a flashlight and saw no leaks and dishwasher has been back in use for a week now.Chris

Replaced heating element and high limit thermostat. Was suppose to fix the problem but did not. Replaced the control board and works now. All of these are easy to replace.

Very simple repair when you're supplied with the proper parts. Their delivery time is exceptional !
