ADB1400AGS1 Amana Dishwasher - Instructions

1. Open dishwasher door, to access the screws holding dishwasher to cabinet.... remove these screws.
2. May need to shut water off and unscrew water line and waste line (if they aren't long enough because you will need to pull dishwasher out.

5. crescent wrench to unscrew the plastic screws in back
6. Disconnect two wires going to element
7. Replace element... reverse steps
8. Not too bad at all

Replaced the pump.That wasn't the problem --- if I had it to start over, I'd pull the drain hoses and run the dishwasher to see what water is flowing where. I had a clogged drain --- and maybe something else. Still working through the details.

Our dishwasher's top rack would pull too far out which made it hard to stay in alignment. It had lost it's track stop. I easily ordered the part from PartSelect, and it came more quickly than I expected; I clicked it in place and it runs like new. removed unit from cabinet disconnected water and drain lines replaced heater very easy to do it took more time to remove unit from under counter than replace heater piece of cake..

Removing and installing the new part was fairly simple. We removed the water hose first since it is the easiest to see. We then removed the screw holding the part to the metal frame. We slid out the part out of the holder to remove the black hose and electric plug (it is like the old phone jacks). After it was completely off we plugged in ... Read more the electric to the new part which was very easy since it can only go in one way. We slid the new part in place and attached the black hose. We attached the piece to the frame with the one screw and last we attached the gold (garden hose) connection. We turned on the water to look for any leaks then turned the power on and ran it through a partial rinse to be sure there were no leaks.

I just snapped the old one off and snapped the new one on..

New one snapped right into place.

I used a flat blade screwdriver to compress one arm of the endcap of the slide rail to free it. I then slid up the locking slide of the old roller assembly freeing it from the upper basket,and put the new part in its place. I then put the roller back in the slide rail and replaced the endcap.

I saves the old part to see how it was to be installed. It was very easy. I saved the $50 + dollars for a SERVICE CALL.

Pulled dishwasher out unplug the wire on each side unscrew the nut on each side lift up in the back of element pull it out on metal holder for element and put the new one in really easy thanks so much for the help!!

Very simple to repair The front track stops just slide into place, easy. When I looked for these parts this place was the least expensive and the quickest delivery I have ever had. Quick, efficient and friendly online staffing. Thank you, Deb

Followed very simple instructions to easily install. The only tool needed was a flathead scredriver to pop off caps to remove old, broken rollers. New rollers simply click into place. Piease aren't cheap, but significantly less than a new dishwasher.

Pulled out old gasket, pressed in new starting middle top. No more leak.

Watched YouTube first of course. Pulled off the old gasket, found the center of the new gasket and started installing the gasket from the very top and all the way down the sides. I made sure it was in tightly and smooth. No more leak, should have listened to my wife sooner!
