ADB11 Amana Dishwasher - Instructions

Recently bought a whirlpool dishwasher, the dishwasher was converted to a portable dishwasher and they did not use the cord application power cord so they machine was blowing our breaker, instructions were very simple and installation was easy!

Just click in, you can basically do it with your eyes closed

Upper jet part for top rack, directly beneath it....it has nubs meant to slide in grooves for the replacement. Waited a week for the new part, once arrived, I slipped the piece in place as nubs for my guide, and it snapped in pkace.

Easy fix.

Was a simple task to perform, a child could have done it. The technical skills diagnosing it was a bit hard though. The skills finding the culprit was indeed simple. Rubber was torn. Now to find out why it won't dry properly at the heating element is another task. It leaves water droplets on the dishes.
Once I got the rubber screw on attachment installed the dishes are clean & dry now & no water dropplets on the dishes.
The water dispenses up to the top like it suppost to throught the small tube to wash the upper rack dishes.
The wife is happy now she doesn't have to clean & dry them by hand.

Very easy to remove the broken one and just clip in the new one.

Replaced the detergent dispenser using the directions on the shipping notice.

I located the water inlet valve underneath. After moving the dishwasher out from the cabinet, I tilted it . Then I disconnected the black hose with the pliers . Using the adjustable wrench I unscrewed the water feed to the valve . I then unscrewed the valve from the frame and disconnected the wire plug by unlocking and slipping it away f ... Unscrewed brackets from underneath counter that hold dishwasher in place. Pulled dishwasher out of cabinet to access door hinges (approximately 8 to 12 inches). Released springs from door hinge (not necessary to remove spring from hole in dishwasher frame). Did not have to remove old sleeve because they tear and fall off. Slipped sleeve o ... Read more ver door hinge to groove where they sit on hinge. Note: pulling hinge away from dishwasher a little. helps to complete installation.
Reinstall spring over hinge and check that door will stay a partial open. Slide dishwasher back in place and install screws from bracket to underside of counter.
My dishwasher only had two screws under counter to hold in place. Some installations have screws at sides also.

laid dishwasher on its side and unscrewed element. returned unit upright & replaced element. reversed process and reinstalled unit under cabinet

It is a bit difficult to align the grommet, hose, and mounting arm. Suggest using a little vasoline in bushing for the mounting arm/support. it really helps slide in the arm into that bushing so you can get the grommet and hose lined up.

Also, instead of using the supplied hose clamp, suggest using an automotive style hose ... Read more clamp if you don't have the special tool for tightening the supplied clamp.

After reading customer notes regarding the same problem I was having I ordered A new Heater Element & a High Limit Thermostat. I also ordered a Heating Element Nut and Rubber Washer in case I needed them. It took me quite some time to remove the dishwasher from under my counter. Once the unit was out and prepared to service it actually to ... Read more ok only a few minutes to install the new Heater Element. I did't need the washer or extra Nut. I also decided to try the unit without replacing the thermostat. I cleared the diagnostics by pressing the "HEATED DRY, "NORMAL", "HEATED DRY", "NORMAL" buttons. After the controller reset the dishwasher was ready to run.

Disconnect power Pull out dishwasher. Turn it 45 degrees to your right. Turn it on its side. disconnect the connections to the heating element {2}. Remove bolts, remove element. Snap new track stop into place. Took a few minutes to figure out top/bottom and inside/outside, but no issues

Watched a video and seen how easy it was to repair. Just disconnect the power, water and return drain. two bolts and replace element . The difficult part was removing and replacing the dishwasher...piece of cake.
