ACQ15 Whirlpool Air Conditioner - Instructions

Pull out old filter and insert new filter received from. I was surprised how easy it was to order and how prompt the service. The web site was really easy. That can't be said for many web sites

I really didnt repair anything, but
I wanted to share with you,my experience with parts select. My order was processed lightning fast, the shipping was lightning fast, the remote was the correct one I ordered,and the whole experience was 100% perfect. Thank you so much.

Took out old filter and replaced it with the new filter

Replaced the temp control and sensor. Controls on this unit are easy to get to and electrical connections were slide ons

Removed all screws and removed cabinet. Removed styofoam insulation, removed both fan and squirrel cage. removed 2 screws holding fan bracket in place. Removed and replaced fan motor keeping track of where color coded wires plugged into control. Cleaned unit and put back together. Worked great.

Removed back cover, and installed the water valve. Removed the water supply tube cover and installed the supply tube. Opened freezer and removed the electrical cover, removed the knockouts and pulled line out. Hooked up ice maker and installed it to wall. Turned water on and waited a couple hours, it is making ice. Just removed the old filter and replaced. Slid right in, no tools required.

We inserted the batteries and the remote worked like a charm

Unplugged unit.
Pulled front cover and removed switch knobs.
Pulled switch plate off and replaced thermostat switch and temperature sensor bulb assembly.
Reassembled and plugged in.
Unit works normal.

Finally my noisy a/c blower motor failed after 2 brutally hot summers of continous use plus 3 regular summers of use. My wife already wanted a central air system to replace the 1.25 ton window unit for $3,500 when the old one gave out. So when the wall unit failed I needed the right part quick or face the $3,500 replacement. I paid an ext ... Read more ra $15 for faster shipping. I got the right part with the right color coded wires. I was a rather basic operation. I got the unit back into the wall and fired it up just as the weather started getting hot and humid again. My wife is happy, I am happy. Thanks so much!

Removed the back - Saw the broken clips on the base of the dryer (the wires to the motor were pulling out because the motor was slipping).

Guessed that the parts were motor clips (no pix in the web site!)

Got the parts in post - they were identical except needed some rubber grips inside to hold tight (Used pieces of ... Read more bike tire inner tube cut to fit for this.) Attached clips. Works fine!!

(Son is an engineer - he found the problem. Husband is a retired doctor - he couldn't!! but together they
supplied the muscle)

i notice the window ac unit was making loud noise and than motor stop and the unit turn off itself then turn on , first i order the capacitor but at the end was the motor that was bad, i return the capacitor and i order new motor, now the ac window unit is working like new,,

put the knob on and pushed it as far as it would go.
