ACQ05 Whirlpool Air Conditioner - Instructions

ordered new part, removed old unit, noted where wires connect, installed new one, done.

I really didnt repair anything, but
I wanted to share with you,my experience with parts select. My order was processed lightning fast, the shipping was lightning fast, the remote was the correct one I ordered,and the whole experience was 100% perfect. Thank you so much.

I received the part the very next day which was awesome, but when I went to install it, there was a connection discrepency on the back of the switch, and the screw holes were completely off in the front where it connects to the unit. I ended up taking the whole thing apart to try to put the old face with the right screw holes on the new p ... Read more art and ruined it.

Received the thermost from you in 2 days. (fast and reasonable shipping)

Removed 2 control knobs and front cover.

Removed 2 screws holding controls mounting plate. (About 3 X 6 inches in size)

Removed 2 screws holding thermostat in place.
Installed new trhermostat.

Checked the RAC and all ... Read more was OK.

As a matter of fact, I had to wait for the wife to finish cleaning the front of the RAC.

I am 75years young, retired, repaired appliances for a a short period when I was young before becoming a Factory sales rep. for RCA corp.

I opened the package. I tool out the plastic bag containing the replacement knobs. (I ordered two). I lined up the knob that needed replacing and pushed it on. The replacement knobs are of a better quality than the original and shouldn't break like the old ones. After this repair I was exhausted and took a nap.

even I can replace a control knob....

I opened up the front of the A/C got the part/model#, removed front grill and protective cover and was able to swap out the cord for $45 as opposed to buying a new one.

We inserted the batteries and the remote worked like a charm

First I unplugged the A/C. Then I removed the two screws from the front cover. Next, I removed the srews holding the front board. Then I removed the screws from the metal box which house the second board. Removed the second board and replaced with the new one. Final I did the same process backward. Less than fifteen minutes from beginning ... Read more to end. Plugged the A/C in and turned it on. It's been work fine since.

The part was easy to remove and replace. Instructions were easy to understand. Once removed and replaced. The a/c worked great. I could control the temp and not be freezing all the time.

Had to get someone else to attach knob
