ACE2 - Instructions

First removed the power and front panel. Then in order to get to the damaged cooling selector switch, I needed to first drill out three riviets holding the small front pannel that the switch and thermostat selector switches are mounted on.

Then it was a simple matter to unscrew two small screws holding the broken cooling selec ... Read more tor switch in place.

At this point, I unhooked each wire (about 7 of them) from their terminal connector on the back of the switch, and reapplied each to the new switch. After I was done I then mounted the new switch with the two screws and realigned the pannel.

The only thing remaining was to install the small pannel using three pop rivets and slide on a new knob, and reinstall the large A/C front cover.

FYI, The new replacement switch and knob were perfectly identical, and worked like a charm.

Took out old filter and replaced it with the new filter

First remove two screw pulledout 3 inches diconneccected 3 wire and put back.

Unpluged unit from receptacle. Simply slid the unit forward a bit (to get to screws after removing face), removed four screws, pulled the wired sensor from front of grill. Reversed & replaced everything, plugged unit back in and turned on - all working well. Easy job.

Just removed the old filter and replaced. Slid right in, no tools required.

Removed back cover, and installed the water valve. Removed the water supply tube cover and installed the supply tube. Opened freezer and removed the electrical cover, removed the knockouts and pulled line out. Hooked up ice maker and installed it to wall. Turned water on and waited a couple hours, it is making ice. even I can replace a control knob....

Removed old thermostat replaced it with a new thermostat.

Removed the back - Saw the broken clips on the base of the dryer (the wires to the motor were pulling out because the motor was slipping).

Guessed that the parts were motor clips (no pix in the web site!)

Got the parts in post - they were identical except needed some rubber grips inside to hold tight (Used pieces of ... Read more bike tire inner tube cut to fit for this.) Attached clips. Works fine!!

Removed top cover to access heating elements. Removed heating element (one screw). Tested fuse link and thermastat for conductivity. Both bad. Local dealers could not find the replacement parts or were too busy to assist me. Found Parts Select on the internet through a Google search. Modle number, with pictures and diagrams were a great h ... Read more elp in selecting the correct parts. The parts came in 2 days (very fast). Simple insulation and test and the problem is solved.
