You will need a Nutdriver a 1/4" size and a philips screwdriver, I'm a young woman, It was easy find the pc. I need here since I lost my manual, in this particular piece the inside part is not included the tab that controls the tempeture, you will have to use the same from the broken one, snap off all and carefully remove it from the insi deout of the broken piece to intall it in the replacement, make sure you remember how its going back, that was the hard part of all the repair! after that it was easy as 1, 2, 3!!! have fun!!

I bought a set of appliances used online and the fridge door did not align to the other door. I quickly noticed I had lost the lower bushing to the right door upon transportation so I did what any man would do...find a way to fix it! after checking out a few websites I ran accross Partselect and after seeing their "dummy proof" diagrams I t was certain I couldn't mess this up considering the loads of bushings to choose from. The order was placed Monday morning and to my surprise I had a package the VERY NEXT DAY!! AMAZING delivery time and quality products. PartSelect is definately my appliace parts source from now on! evaporator coil in freezer section fozen solid, refer not cool
10 of 16 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Michael from Tucson, AZ
  • Really Easy
  • 30 - 60 mins
  • Nutdriver, Screw drivers
To remove freezer door, push white tabs, inside rail toward back, remove door and rails as one unit. Unscrew plastic rail support on one side, remove ice maker, then back panel. Cut off thermostat, strip old leads, match colors, twist copper wires together, then crimp on new part using connectors provided. Reassemble, hardest part was figuring out how to remove freezer door. Check for continuity between heater lead and white terminal of icemaker plug just to make sure the heater is good while everything is apart.

The plastic wheel broke in half at the right front of the refrigerator.
7 of 8 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Ralph from Camillus, NY
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 30 - 60 mins
  • Pliers, Screw drivers, Socket set
The good news is that the part (the wheel was available.) I bought two in the event that the other wheel may break in the future. The bad news is that the housing that holds the wheel was riveted together by the wheel axle. It would have been nice to know that before I bought the part and if the housing with the wheel installed was ava ilable. The refrigerator was at my summer house a hundred miles away. Anyway, we had to grind the end of the riveted axle to dislodge it from the wheel housing. With the axle dislodged from the housing we were able to install the wheel and then hammer the end of the axle flat to keep in place, like the original rivet installation. It is not perfect but it held and should be fine. I am glad I was able to get the part and will be back in the future, if in need of other parts.

Lid kept popping off Pantry drawer
7 of 8 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Alice from Santa Ana, CA
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
Could not figure out why this was happening suddenly. Then remembered I had recently changed the lid to one I had stored for over two years in the garage. They had sent me a replacement lid when the unit was less than a year old because the origianl had a crack in the clear section. Noticed it seemed a little warped. Thought I would replace it to see if that solved the
problem.
We had to replace the side panel of the draawer because the warped lid had broken the peg off of one side. I didn't want that to happen again.
The new lid did the job....This company is the only one I will use in the future for my appliances. Very easy to find parts and the pricing was better.

you need to take the deli drawer out, make sure your flat head screw driver is large enough for the head of the screw as screwing into the plastic is a bit difficult. Other than that there are 2 screws and its pretty easy.

broken light switch in the freezer
6 of 6 people found this instruction helpful.
  • kathleen from GREEN VALLEY, AZ
  • Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
  • Screw drivers
We removed the old switch, unplugged it, plugged the new one in and it was easy to do. But when we tried to put the switch back in we had a very hard time doing it. Eventually got it in, but if it had not been for the difficulty we had getting the new switch to snap in to place, it would have taken under 5 minutes.
