99521 (1988) Kenmore Range - Instructions

Removed old element, replaced new element. Unfortunately, this didn't fix the problem. It was the temperature sensor. But now I have a new bake element, though!

Unplug and pull out range.
Unscrew the back of the range with Phillips #2.
Unplug wiring harness from switch.
Unscrew the switch from the front of the range with P2 driver.
Install and plug in new switch.
Remove the spring steel knob retainer from shaft.
Cut off extra knob shaft with dremel to match oth ... Read more ers (there is a narrow segment at the proper length).
Reinstall knob retainer, knob, and range panels.

The removal of the old burner and installation of the new burners was easy. Just lift the opposite side that rests on the rim and pull burner out. New burner then gets inserted and the opposite side goes right into rim. It took all of 30 seconds to replace both burners. I wish I had replaced these when they first started to go!!

Watched video & did just guy in video did. Very easy job & the burner works like new.

Pulled range out from wall, unplugged AC, unplugged infinite switch, plugged in new switch, broke off end of stem, plugged AC in put range back and tested.

The repair was easy. I unplugged the stove, removed back panel, pulled knob and removed 2 screws to remove switch. Unplugged old switch, plugged in new one and installed the 2 screws for switch. Had to snap off stem for new switch to fit knob (easily done with pliers with provided notch). Put knob and back panel back on. Total time, maybe ... Read more 20 minutes.

Removed 2 screws, cut the wires, pulled the part out that the element plugs into. Replaced the old part with the new one and put the screws back in to hold it, reconnected the wires and plugged in the element. Turned stove on and Valaaaa! It was fixed in 10 minutes! was very easy to install I only needed a phillips screwdriver to remove old part and install new one.

As soon the Bake Element has arive, I install it no more than 5 min... All I nedd was a Screw driver. It was so easy, Thank You PartSelet!

Removed block (1 screw) Cut 2 connecting wires. Strip insulation. Attach new block with wire nut(per enclosed instructions) Heat shrink wrap with Lighter. attach block. 10 minutes: problem solved

removed the plug that had burned up on one of the top burners, replaced it with a new plug purchased from parts select., it was quite easy ,I unpluged stove and raise the top exposing wiring for the burners cut the old plug wiring and connected the wires for the new plug with connectors and shrink tubing supplied in the repair kit easy a ... I had previously partially removed the element and tested with multi-meter to determine that it was not working (open circuit). Repair procedure follows:

Turned off Power
Removed 2 retaining screws
Pulled element out part way
Removed 2 spade connectors supplying power
Replaced element w/new element

Turned off power at circuit breaker. Removed 4 phillips screws from area over oven door. Pulled control panel out and twisted to clear top rail.
