Pulled screws loose from element, pulled old element out and replaced with new..really simple

I didn't. Don't know how to get to light bulb to change it for this specific model

I started by removing the door, then trying to remove all of the screws in the oven casing. Of course the very middle screw in the bottom of the oven was rusted and dammged by use. I had to use a drill bit and remove the old screw. After dissasembly of the oven casing, I found that the lip that supports the gasket was rusted and burnt awa ... Read more y about 3/4 in. I placed the new gasket in and found that when closed it covered this defect and sealed. I reassembled and cheked for operation.Ok! Imortant--remove the elements before removing oven casing.

Removed the ice brucket,
Removed the light shield by releasing one screw using a nutdriver.
Replacing the bulb and reinstalled the light shield.

The hardest part was taking out original light bulb because screws on shield where hard to unscrew after all this years . The old bulb vent out leaving neck in socket. It took narrow electrical pliers to get neck out .The generic appliance bulb did not fit and had aluminum neck ,not recommended for brass sockets in ovens.Putting new ligh ... 2. Removed old bulb
3. Screwed in new bulb
4. Replaced glass cover
5. Mixed drink & baked cupcakes

My husband took the plastic cover off and took out old bulb and screwed in the new one. Then put the cover back on.

I pulled down the wire around the glass cover. . . Released on end of the wire from its holder being careful to not let the glass cover drop. Unscrewed the bulb and replaced with replacement. Easy, easy.

found the element using visual grids supplied on the website. Measured old element and matched up with another after finding out that Whirlpool parts are interchangeable. Turned off power at breaker box. Replaced in 10 minutes.Fired it up to test at high temp for about 5 minutes.

Received the part the day after ordering. Appreciated the quick service and repair took less than a minute.

I turned breaker off for oven, removed screws from element mount, pulled the element out about two inches, then slid wire connectors up to unhook from element. Then set new element in, slid wire connectors on to back new element, then used pliers to make sure they were tight and secure by squeezing them, screwed element back in, turned br ...
