Oven would not heat.

My stove would not heat. I could see that the bake element had a hole burned through it. Found this website. I was confused about what part I needed so I called the phone number and the girl was very good at locating exactly which element my stove needed after I gave her the stove make and model #. I ordered the part on Thursday after noon. The part arrived on Saturday afternoon.

The hardest part of fixing it was finding the correct screw driver socket thingy (I'm not a technical person) to get the screws off with. Thankfully my neighbor had what I needed. I pulled my stove out from the wall (primarily because I needed to clean under there) and unplugged it. Unscrewed the screws, pulled the old element out until I could see the wire connections. I used clothes pins to hold the wires from going back into the stove once I unhooked them from the element (another tip I learned on this website) and simple slipped the wire connectors onto the new element, pushed it back into place, put the screws back on, plugged it in and TA DA... was baking a pizza in no time.

Very very VERY easy repair!!!

I took the oven door off. Laid it down on a blanket on the floor. I pulled up on end going into the door, then went around with fingers to feel where the clip were and grab the clip with my fingers and gently pulled up. Then grabbed the new gasket, found the center clip that goes at top of door and started pushing the clips in. The last w as feeding the ends back into the slot in the door.

My husband actually did the replacement but I did all the research online to find the right part. I wasn't sure we'd find it for our old stove but luckily we did and it works fine. Thanks for the super fast service!

0) Take the back cover of the range off.
1) Carefully noted how the wires and the sockets were connected.
2) Visually checked that the new parts were practically identical old ones.
3) Put together the new sockets from the parts in the kit.
4) disconnect the old sockets and put the new sockets in place.
5) For eac h unit disconnect one old wire at the time and connect the new wire. Repeat the same for second wire.
6) Neatly bunch together the rest of the wires with electrical tape. Do not cut the wires!

That's it! It took about 20-30 minutes.

Broken interior oven window

It took a bit of head scratching to remove the oven door. I had read another user saying he'd removed the hinge screws unneccessarily, so I left them alone. I eventually was able to locate the locks on each hinge. Once they were disengaged, it was a simple matter to lift off the door. After that, I removed all the screws (except the h inge screws) and took the door apart. Once it was disassembled, I found two loose triangular pieces, about 1 1/2" long. I later discovered these were spacers for the two top srews. They were placed on end, and the top screws passed through them. All in all, a relatively simple repair, which absolutely amazed my wife, landlord, faily, etc.

First , I have been working on electrical equipment for many years....and I forgot to un plug the unit from the wall. I assumed that if the oven was turned off I could remove the element, WRONG. One of the leads from the cord is wired directly to one lead of the element. When I tried to remove the element it shorted out against the w all of the oven. Then I turned the breaker off, unplugged the stove and finished the repair in about 10 minutes. Always unplug it first!.

First I pull the stove out and unplug it. Than I removed the back cover by using an adjustable wrench. I unplug the element two wires. Then I opened up the oven on the stove and removed the racks and using the adjustable wrench remove the two bolts that mounted the heating elements. Replace with new element secured with bolts and co nnect the two wires to the heating element and put back on the back plate and plug the unit back into the wall.

Received part very quickly, easy to install, just give yourself enough wire on terminals when you pull them out, I let mine slip into holes they come out of and had to fish it out. EASY job.
