Watched the video on the PartSelect site. Could not have been an easier repair and I saved the cost of a service call - probably saved at least $100 - $150 in service call and I can only guess what the labor cost would have been. Will use this business again for other appliance repairs on my older stove, washer, etc. By the way - the o ... replaced lights in refrigirator and freezer

Took Switch panel off range. Disconnected Infinite switch. Reinstalled infinite switch.. Replaced panel. Repair was very simple and self explainatory.

Removed door from Oven.
removed screws from several components comprising the door and separated pieces.
Removed broken glass.
Prior to putting back together I took advantage of the convenience and used oven cleaner to clean inner portion of door. Installed new glass.
Reassembled door.

repair went fine, real easy.

Turn off the power to the stove at the circuit breaker. I then loosened the two screws at the rear of the oven and gently pulled the heating elements toward the front of the oven. I found that if I worked the element in a circular motion, it was easier to remove. Once I pulled the element out far enough where the wire connectors were e ... Read more xposed (about 5 - 6 inches), I pulled the wire connectors off the element and reattached to the new element before reversing the whole process. After everything was back in place, I turned the circuit breaker back on and tested the oven, which worked perfectly.

With multimeter checked resistance of oven sensor. Specs called for 1100 ohms. It was off by 27 ohms. The sensor from Part Select had exact wire connection as original. Then just matter of undoing old and reconnecting with new one.

Followed instructions on Kenmore site. One point of note. Hold onto the element wires firmly. They will retract behind the oven!!! After contacting an electrician friend who removed unit from the wall and rethreaded the wires, it went just fine.

Removed two screws and removed the oven elelent. One wire was not through the back of the stove. Ordered new element anyway. Slid stove out (slide-in model). Unplugged power. Removed two covers protecting wires on back of stove. Found wire for oven element. Had to cut and strip end of wire and use new blade clip. Crimped new clip ... Read more to wire and inserted into oven through back of stove. Replaced covers. Plugged oven element to wires and tried out oven. WORKED ! Saved new oven element for next time. Difficulty encounted was lack of knowledge on where stove was screwed into counter-top and what size blade clip to buy. It always helps to have a dog 3" away just itching to lend a paw.

The job went over without a hitch, only probably didn't get the correct part first go around, but after getting the right part everything went very easy..Just a couple of screws where the elment goes in and 2 wires to plug back into the new element, after that everything was good to go!!

1. Turned off electrical breaker for range.
2. Removed the two hex head screws that hold element in place.
3. Pulled element out and unplugged the two electrical connectors.
4. Attached connectors to new element and attemped to push element back into the opening. It would not go in all the way.
5. Apparently some of t ... Read more he insulation had fallen down and was blocking the area where the element slides in.
6. I used a long thin screwdriver inserted into the two holes to push the insulation aside.
7. The element was then able to go in all the way.
8. Replaced two hex head screws.
9. Turned on range breaker.
10. Turned on oven. Works fine.

first husband removed the bolts unplugged old element wires -plugged in new element wires and but in bolts - unfortunately the oven still doesn't work not sure if element is bad or wiring, need professional help

Instead of flipping circuit breaker, we pulled the oven away from the wall and unplugged it. Used socket wrench to loosen screws of bracket holding old element onto the back oven wall, then gently pulled element until connecting wires appeared. Removed the 'clips' attached to the old element prongs and discarded old element. Reattached ... Read more the 'clips' to new element prongs, then gently pushed prongs into back into oven wall until the bracket was flush with the wall. Used socket wrench to screw and tighten the bracket into place. Plugged in the oven and tested the new element to make sure it worked. The whole process took only a few minutes.....it took longer to clean the oven before installing the new element.

Removed the two screws, pulled out old element, installed new element, and reinstalled screws.
