I frist remove the screws that hold the element in place disconnected two wires.That didn't take long.Call aronud my area for part.They wanted 90.00 plus taxs.Went on line to find it much cheaper came in the mail very fast and put it in my self.Very easy and saved money too.It took less then 3 mins to put in.If I could do it you can too.T ... Really easy.
1) Pulled up on oven door and removed it.
2) Removed lower drawer to access springs.
3) Pay attention to which hole the springs are attached under the oven.
4) Remove spring with Needle Nose Plier. If you remove by hand, the spring will likely cut your finger....like mine.
5) Unscrew 3 screws of ... Read more old hinge assembly.
6) Reverse process when placing new assembly in place.

Pulled out bottom drawer and showed my 13 yr
old boy that the spring needed to go back in same hole, then he did the rest. It was so easy, even a 13 yr old can do it.

Removed grills, oven bottom, heat deflector, and the two igniter mounting screws. Pulled out igniter, removed two wire twist caps and old igniter. Cut off ragged ends of wires coming from the stove side and re-stripped the wire ends. Attached oven side wires to new igniter wires using new twist caps. Reassembled everything in reverse ... used nut driver to remove old module and 10 minutes the cooktop was back in operation

It took a while to determine the cause of the problem because I was not familiar with gas appliances.After finding the problem I ordered a new igniter. The part was there in two and a half days!! After reading the other DIY's directions, we explored how to remove oven door. When the part came in, my sister who was visiting, removed the oven door (30seconds), removed bottom drawer (30 seconds), noted where spring was attached, took off screws and spring, installed new hinge with roller, took a minute to decide if the new hinge cam ... Total time less than 5 mintues, most time spent on returning bottom drawer to its home. Thanks part select for helping me not burn my self every time I try and get food out of the oven!!! Remove oven door,just open slighty and pull door up no tools.Take oven draw out.Remove oven floor held by two nuts in rear.You will now see the igniter,remove two screws holding it and the one screw holding the long tube at the front.The best tool I used was 1/4 drive socket set with a 6" ext.I did'nt need a new bracket that came with the ... Read more part and I cut the old igniter wires and wired in the new one because it had a special connectors.If your are a handy person,its EASY.

Removed shelves and floor of oven. Removed burner unit to access screws attaching igniter to burner unit. Disconnected wires of igniter. Put new igniter in place and reinstalled burner unit. Reconnected wires using supplied wire nuts. Tested unit. Reinstalled oven floor and shelves once successfully tested. Cooked Pizza.

1.Took out the metal pan.
2.Removed the ignitor bracket.
3.Disconnected the two wire mount the new ignighter.
4.Connect the new ignighter wires to the wires still attached to the valve.
5.New igniter glow wonderfully.

I only wish I would have taken the drawer out first to get at the wire connections. Instead I tried to get at them by trying to remove all the layers of sheet metal at the bottom of the oven - to no avail. Once I took the drawer out and saw the connections and bolts to remove that held the igniter/gas diffuser there was no problem. The ne ... Read more w igniter does not come with the connectors on the ends so I simply cut off enough wire from the old one and used the wire nuts that came with to splice the wires. Simple reconnect and now we're "cookin' with gas" again.

removed the old part with socket set and replaced the part with a fresh one. turned on oven, igniter heated up and oven lit.

took off the door it should be very simple by opening the door just a little bit then pull up the door take out the shellves than take of the bottom of oven usualy there's 2 cap screws in back holding it down then take out the drawer from under the oven & unscrew the bracket that holds the flame pipe from underneath also unscrew the screw ... Read more from inside the oven the holds the actual flame pipe in front next to the door then unscrew the old igniter from the pipe snip the old wire going out from the igniter & strip it a little & connect the new igniter put on the ceramic cover supplied together with the new igniter connect it back to flame pipe put everything back together you should be done. But make sure the wires are pushed down to underneath as much as you could also when you put back the gas pipe the wire should not be in the way underneath the oven

Removed the oven door and the bottom plate. Remove existing igniter by cutting the wire and unscrewing two small bolts. The installation of the new part is the reverse.

The part arrived on timed and fit perfect. The repaired took 1/2 hour and everything works perfect. My wife thinks I am the best
