90145 Admiral Ice Maker - Instructions

Removed old ejector arm and installed new part.

I took out the old one and put in the new one. For some reason the repair story associated with the ice bucket had nothing to do with ice buckets.

Needed ice maker bucket for extra fridge. Part came the next day, and worked perfectly.

Remove bottom screw loosen 2 top screws unplug connector from back of icebox. Lift up and pull forward. Swap front cover full bucket stop bar and wire (plugs in) reinstall 10 minute job

the diagnosis was the most difficult step.. and trusting that the one visible nut was the only thing holding it on.. (there are 2 other clips that you need to use a little force on to detach). remove the ice maker (one nut, 2 clips, detach plug).. then remove the 3 screws holding on the 'face' , pry face off, you will see where the 'co ... Read more ntact' has burned/melted/worn away. replace unit. 80% of the time, this is the problem (according to my research)

Five minutes with a phillips screw driver and the cube maker was changed. . . In the process, I failed to unplug the unit, and shorted the fill valve in the back. Again, five minutes with a nut driver and it was changed. No need for a PHD or the cost of a service technician for either job.

By replacing it with a new ine maker.

Very easy to install the new ice maker. Removed the bottom screw holding the ice maker to the side of the freezer. Loosened the top two screws. The old ice maker came off just like that. Unplugged the power supply from the freezer and removed the whole apparatus.

I saved the wiring harness, screws, cover, and metal arm from the ... Read more old ice maker. Installed these on the new one and mounted the new ice maker in the freezer. Done.

The only issue I had was that the water supply hose got kinked when I pushed the fridge back into place. Once that was resolved, the new ice maker started happily making ice.

I disconnected power, turned off water supply, removed three hexhead screws, disconnected wiring harness plug, then reversed procedure. New icemaker seens to be a little slower in making cubes. Replaced Icemaker

Repair was as shown in the video except my refrigerator had screws instead of the plastic clips as shown in the video. Just had to loosen the two upper ones and remove the one lower one. All other steps were as shown in the video.

Replaced entire ice maker. Turn off water where it comes out of the wall. Loosen two top screws and remove one screw at bottom. Lift unit up and off top screws and swivel out to the right and disconnect power plug from freezer. Warning new unit does not come with: 1. Power Cable 2. Front plastic cover. 3. Wire bail. Install in reverse ord ... Read more er Do NOT toss old unit until new one is installed and working. My came with the bottom mounting bracket bent so I just used the old one. When installing old power cable into new unit be sure to put small sensor into clip. It's part of the cable harness assembly.

This was a very easy fix. I took the old ice maker out, including the electrical harness. Switched the harness and stop bar to the new ice maker on my bench, then installed the new assembly. I simply removed the 3 screws holding the unit into the freezer with a nutdriver, then disconnected the power plug (a little hard to get to, and requires releasing a small tab in a hole in the main body). This was easy also, just remove 2 phillips head screws that are set deep in 2 holes in the face of the motor drive unit, then pull the whole assembly apart far enough to allow the ejector blades to slip out of the hole through the inlet funnel, then snap the funnel loose to move it to the new one (the same technique to be used on the new one, then re-assemble in reverse order).

First, unplug power to Fridge, then remove ice bin and set to one side, then remove the clip that holds the fill tube down by pulling up on it, and remove the fill tube. With a short, small, flat head screwdriver in your left hand, depress the locking tab for the connector, while your right hand supports the assembly and pulls the connector outward to disconnect. Remove old Ice Maker, and remove the bin full lift wire, it's a slide in fit and install in your new unit. Check your fill tube water diverter on the right side of Ice Maker unit , you may need to remove the blank, it is U shaped and molded for easy removal, but use caution when removing to be on the safe side, this allows the fill tube to go down into the diverter, Re-Assemble in reverse order. Give the unit plenty of time to reach proper operating temp, and cycle. Make sure and discard your first Ice cycle.
