8ED0 Whirlpool Refrigerator - Instructions

Ordered Part Number and overnighted shipping. Took less than 5 minutes to install the kit. Refrigerator Works GREAT!!! FYI, I called a repair service and they wanted $300.00 to come out and repair. The part and shipping were $76.00. I saved a ton and did it myself!!!

My younger brother turned me onto the web site... , I'll be returning to the site and telling my friends about it. It's a total "rip off" what service organizations charge the general public these days from Car Dealer ships to the stores we purchase our appliances from. !!! Glad I still have my health and faculties to repair the essentials we have around our homes. !!!!

There was a loud noise coming from the fridge - we ordered the new part it came a lot sooner than we excepted and we replaced it in about 20 minutes- the hardest part was my husband getting his hand in there to put the screws in- but a very easy fix.

I noticed that everytime I plug the refrigerator cord into to the wall outlet it would trip the shock prevention safety switch on the wall outlet. I ordered it and it was at my door the next day. It worked extremely well. The item is listed as R, meaning right hand side. If you need it for the left hand side, simple turn it over. It is designed to work on both sides of the door.

Whirlpool refrigerator laid down on us on a Friday morning. Local repair center would not be out until Monday noon. $89 service charge plus labor and parts estimate. Golly Miss Molly! First I removed all contents from inside refrigerator door.Then I removed (1) 10mil screw,which holds cover for top hinge.Next I removed the (3) hinge screws,and lifted door off of bottom hinge.Pulled off plastic closure cam from bottom metal hinge post.I cleaned metal post ,applied a small amount of vaseline to post, slid on new plastic ... I removed the two screws that were readily in view. I then figured out the there was a faceplate which I was able to pry off after removing the temp control knobs. Using a 1/4" nut driver and a philips screwdriver I removed all the screws in the shelf brackets and coil cover and removed coil cover. Removed fan blade and then faulty motor (held in with clips) Installed new motor-two wires (power) and ground (green) pushed fan blade back on and tested, then reinstalled all panels and shelf brackets.

I followed your instructions , the only thing that was left out was that the freezer has a drain hole that had to be thawed out with a hair dryer,till the water went to the drain pan underneath the ref. your instruction were through enough, that's why I purchased the part from your company, I installed the part 2 days ago and its working ... Just replaced the switch, but unfortunately that was not the problem; nor was it the bulb....so I am back to square one.
