8605 - Instructions

Used the suggested problem list here to narrow down that the repair was most likely the run capacitor. Poped the new one in and I now have better control of my compartment ranges. I have a temperature gauge in each compartment. Check them every opening of the doors.

I removed the old grille toe plate and snapped the new one in it's place.

bulbs were not burnt out. received the new switch in a few days. watch the short video, was good to see how it comes out. used a putty knife to release the defective switch, removed wires put them on the new one and posed the new switch back in. Took name plate off old door handle and put it on new one. Used 2 screws to attach it to refrigerator door. About 2 minutes.

took screws out. then placed new handle and inserted new screws in.it was easy and took about 10 min.

I did not do the repair myself as I am an elderly lady but am lucky enough to have a son-in-law who is very capable in many areas. He removed the old handle by loosening the screws with a Philips screwdriver. He attached the new handle likewise.

unplug refrigerator,remove content [shelves] then remove panel screws,slide thermostat from tube and unplug both wire ends,match up both thermostat[old unit have male round connector] you'll need round connector.cut old unit wire off,cut new unit wire,strip both ends join with solder and cover with heat-shrink and reinstall,fridge is cool ... The instruction sheet supplied with the new motor described the steps to take very good. Replaced the rubber grommets for the three motor mounts also. A flashlight or light source was needed or was very helpful.

Pull refrigerator out to access back, unplug unit and remove the 3 .25" screws cut the power leads to motor and install new with easy to understand instructions provided with new motor. Plug refrigerator back in and enjoy your cold beverages once more. EASIEST REPAIR EVER.

Eased the putty knife under the edge of the switch housing and pried it off. Pulled two wires off the old terminals and hooked them onto the new one and reinstalled into the refrigerator body.

We looked up the problem online with the model number of the refrigerator. We ordered the part and followed the video installation that was sent with the order and was found online prior to purchasing

Unscrewed handle from door. Transferred emblem from sick handle to haelthy handle. Installed new handle on door.

It made so so easy watching the video. Thank you for that. I was ready to but a new one for about $800. but I did the repairs in about 20 minutes for about $23. Thank again

I removed the nuts that held the motor mount, then removed fan blade, cut the wires, and slid the motor pass the mounts and the coil shroud, Installed motor in reverse order. worked out ok.

Ordered new fan motor on line took out old motor and replaced with new one
