8341VD Magic Chef Cooktop - Instructions

I removed the old module ,replaced new bracket,crimped new wire lugs on wires. being an electrician for 50 plus years helped.      Thanks   Lloyd

First I did was to google the problem I have. There several video how to solve the problem. It show me different ways to solve my problem. I just follow the instructions. Thank to google without it, I am lost. I may add, that google is a big saver for me.

Make sure all burners on stove top are off.Half twist burner top to separate burner from stove top.The burner slide fits over the metal tube that transports the gas to the burner.Remove the 2 slip fit connected wires from the underside of the burner.They should be of different sizes so no worries about incorrectly re-attaching them.The ig ... Read more niter has 2 philips screws holding the igniter to the burner, Remove those and the igniter will be able to be removed with a little wiggling.Insert new igniter thru the hole in the burner and secure with the 2 screws. Reattach wires , place burner back on top making sure the wires aren't being crimped when the burner slides over the aforementioned metal tube and twist burner to seat in stove top, turn on burner to confirm igniter now ignites properly.

part was by the brolier drawer inside under stove removed 2 screws on cover/ part was attached to cover removed module line 1-2 fit/ had to use supplied disconects crimped on 4 burner wire leads/taped around module w/ elec. tape put back 2 screws finished. works now.

took out burner and remove ignite r and reinstall a new one simple as that

1st unplug stove opened cover to wireing box with a phillips driver removed old part transfered wires one by one installed new part installed cover & pluged in stove & worked line new.

Turn off power then turn to take old burner out ,
disconect 2 wire , .
Connect electric wire with new burner press in then turn and clock . Turn power on then start stove
and check .

find the part (image is really helpful), buy, and replace. Like I said, it's really easy.

I replace the igniter first that didn’t work so I had to order the wiring and then I replaced that there was a cover that I took off with a screwdriver took the wiring off and put the new wiring in it it was that easy.

Used strap wrench to turn out. Rust build up under the burner. Used flat screwdriver to loosen under burner and strap wrench to turn out. Then replaceing the igniter was very easy.

Removed screws from back right of oven. Found spark module under right side panel of oven. Module connected in a slightly different way, so I had to drill a new hole and use a machine screw to secure it. All wires matched up exactly on new spark module. Replaced the ignition module with one from PartSelect. took care of the problem. They had the part in stock. Great service. Got the part in four days.

I used the advise given in the website and it was very informative- the part was exactly where the folks on the website said it would be and although it wasnt the actual maytag part it was easily fitted by using the wire splices i mentioned and it was shipped quickly The whole process took less the 30 min once received. thank you for a v ... First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the six wires. Then I repeated those steps in back order. That's it

Pulled cooking grate off, twisted burner head counter clockwise 1/8 of a turn, pulled up and out. Removed 2 connecting wires.put new burner head on in reverse order. Simple about 2 minutes including opening box.
