The drive system transfer link may disconnect from the transmission assembly, resulting in a loss of power transmission. As a result, the lawnmower may not move forward or backward when the engine is running. Remove the nut on the transfer link and the fasteners on the inside of the hex shaft shield. Carefully detach the ball joint. Secure the new ball joint to the transfer link and hex shaft shield to complete the repair.
