7957877 Kenmore Freezer - Instructions

Pulled the fridge out.
Unscrewed the back cover and the one screw holding the value assemble.
undid the 2 hoses and replaced the part.

Just like on YouTube very easy to do

removed old handle

Installed new handle with hex wrench used to tighten up

Remove two screws on top of the fridge; removed old switch and inserted new switch. Worked like a charm. Replace casing and screws.

remove all trays from refrigerator , remove screw holding rail and install new rail.

Slid new bin into place. It works perfectly now.

Simple replace of door, fits perfectly

Go to this site on You Tube to watch the "how to" replace the gasket retainer. The retainer I needed did not come with brackets or the cam you will need. You will need transfer them from the old retainer to the new one. Not hard, just be mindful of position of the items you remove to put them back in place the same way. A metal rod holds ... Read more the brackets and spring in place with a screw on one end to prevent rod from sliding off retainer. The cam has a screw that holds it in place, use from old retainer. If the old cam is not broken use the one from the old retainer. It is not hard and you will save $$$ that you would pay an appliance repair company.

Took pics of original install, removed old valve, water tubes & plugs. Installed new valve, reconnected electronic plugs, water tubes, turned water back on and all has been well since. Thank you for your timely delivery!

Remove door seal and cam shaft (one piece). Remove broken cam by removing Philips head screw. Replace broken cam with new cam and reassemble. The actual repair took about 15 minutes however the majority of time was spent figuring out that the door seal and cam shaft had to be removed, no tools required.

I waited for 2 weeks for a professional appliance repairman to fix my water leak. He kept telling me he was trying to get the part. I finally gave up on him and ordered the part online. Only took a few minutes for the repair. Got the part via mail in 3 days.

Did not the crisper cover is ok the vegetable tray is ok but the pieces you sent to me no actually fit the crisper in is way off

The assembly sent is different than what is on the unit. The connectors do not match. We called and it seems you don’t have the correct part. The only part we have found will only connect the ice maker or the water. It will be a shame if I have to buy a new refrigerator.

Removed Ice dispenser and installed new one.

I screwed the old one out and replaced it with the new one. A no-brainer. The thing that was so amazing was that I ordered the filter on the intrnet and it arrived the very next day!!! I was very surprised and pleased with the very quick shipping!!!
