After noting frost in freezer Right rail started to jam. Noted freezer door was closing crooked. Rail replacement resolved issue. It had been frosting up for some time so Rail must have been broken for a while. Check door seals they were not closing flush.

Remove back door and then shut water of to the refrigerator. Then remove old valve. Have towel ready for excess water when you remove nut to valve. Install new valve screw to refrig. Turn on water and check for leaks.

I took a very thin bladed screwdriver and took the old part out -carefully.
The new part fit in quite easily.

Switch stops working

Replace with new switch. this is the third switch i have replaced in 10 years. the only part, besides a light bulb, that has gone bad. obviously this is a problem with this model for Kenmore, or just poor switch design.

Part Select had a great video which made the repair easy, using a putty knife to start removing the freeze door gasket. Once removed the install is simple just snap the new gasket into the track, but start at the corner. Remove 2 screws swing light down a little bit and pull it to front unplug wires . The hard part of job was finding new replacement light, Partselect.com was only sight I could find that had new replacement number and had the light . Other sites including LG site would only tell me the part number on old lights was discontinued 2 of sites

This was a substitute part and was 2" too long
Waiting for refund on this part. It cost me $14.50 to return it by UPS!!!

1. Remove all food from the shelf and take out the crisper drawers.
2. Remove the glass and take out the crisper frame.
3. Take the screws out of the frame that are holding the cover frame in place and remove the old cover frame..
4. Install the new cover and replace screws.
5. Re- install the drawers and glass.
