If you have this same model, you already know this ice maker is very slow in making ice and is not able to keep up with daily usage of ice for a household of 3.

The Ice Maker from Part Select was complete. Plastic housing, Ice maker located at the top and ice cruncher/dispenser at the bottom.
Note: Both the ice maker and the dispenser wiring goes to a common connecter. It is not advisable to plan changing out only one of these.

Took off the French door Mullen by unscrewing middle area. Unconnected the wires for the door sensor. Then detached old gasket and replaced with new gasket. Reattached the wiring and snapped Mullen flap in place and finally rescrewed to the door. Seal is very good now.

Watched a couple of YouTube videos and then went at it

Part Select had a great video which made the repair easy, using a putty knife to start removing the freeze door gasket. Once removed the install is simple just snap the new gasket into the track, but start at the corner. Some have said that the installation took 5 minutes. Mine took less than that, and I did it with one hand. I had a beer in my other hand.

Un-wrapped the basket......Installed with NO tools......

It was more difficult than I expected, I even thought they sent me a wrong part. The glass shelf needs to slide into two cut-outs at the back end of the bin cover. It initially felt like it was impossible. But jut keep pushing gently at a very shallow angle and it will slide right in.

Simply removed old gasket. Started in a corner with installing the new gasket. It went in easily and quickly.

Remove 3 screws bottom and base.
Loosen top screw. Pull out from bottome and unplug wire harness.

Removed the old one and replaced with the new.

The repair was an easy replacement. The problem was the LG part was no longer available from LG or any of the other places I tried. The PartSelect customer service representative was a true professional and did an outstanding job of helping find the correct part (LG's diagram was unreadable) and cross-referenced it to find the the part th ... Read more at PartSelect actually had in stock. I had the part in four day. The best customer service I have had in years. I lost his name but the order was 13449146. He deserves a raise!

I ordered the needed parts, the correct ones I thought, but when they arrived, I realized they were the wrong parts shipped to me. The reason the wrong parts were shipped to me was because PartsSelect failed to advise me there were none of the parts I needed available so they shipped the left hand basket assembly, door, versus the desire ... Read more d right hand basket assembly, door. I then had to return the wrong parts shipped to me, at my cost of ~$25, and await a refund for the wrong parts originally shipped to me. That's how I did the repair.

Opened the box. Removed wrapping. Washed the new part. Unloaded old basket. Removed old basket. Set in new basket. Loaded new basket. Closed the door. Even an 80 year old can do it!

Slid the replacement shelves into place.
