oven wouldn't work
  • Steve from Hiram, OH

Pulled stove away from the wall and unplugged it. Removed probe and cut the wires because the connection clip on the new probe was different from the original. Leave the wires as long as possible because you will need the extra length to splice the clip from the old probe to the wires on the new one. Replaced probe and plugged the oven ba ck in. Done.

No heat from bottom or top element,k stove top and clock all worked fine.

Timer was bad. Removed the four screws on the rear panel, and then the four screws holding the timer in place. I let the old one dangle by the wires until the new one was in place, then just switched the wires one at a time. There is one set that has a plastic connector, and you need a small flat screwdriver to depress the locking tab on the top of the connector to release it. Be sure and order a new face plate as the old one will not come off without tearing. Re-install rear cover and your done.

wrong temp when baking.
  • John from Hiawassee, GA
  • Easy
  • 1- 2 hours
  • Socket set
removed back. discovered wrong connector on probe. Cut the connectors off and spliced with small butt connector. Took me longer to find the tools and connector than to do the repair. The wires are very small and require a very small butt connector. Tips by the sales rep and previous customer were helpful. Great service. Will try Pa rtSelect for Cub Cadet and Yamaha OB parts. Thanks. John

The warning light for the warmer was stuck "on"
  • Linda from Pleasant Mount, PA
  • A Bit Difficult
  • 15 - 30 mins
Turned off electric at the main box. Removed glass top. Used a razor knife to pry the connections loose so that the new connections could be slid in. Problem was that the element ordered looked entirely different then the original one. Even the hookup was different. But once the connections were made, the ceramic top placed on top, and th e electric restored everything seemed okay. The warmer works and when it heats up the warning light turns on. When the warmer cools the warning light goes off as it should.

interior door glass broken, oven would not heat to temperature
  • Steven from Ogden, UT
  • Difficult
  • More than 2 hours
  • Nutdriver, Pliers, Screw drivers, Wrench (Adjustable)
took door off and tore it down making sure of each step so I could put it back together, removed broken glass and replaced with new piece and reassembled. It was difficult to get the door back on the hindges alone I would suggest seom help at that point. Also pulled oven away from wall and took off back cover unbolted the temperature prob e and removed. New probe did not have the same connector (problem) so you have to splice the two together, I did not like that but it works. This is a simple repair and did not take very long to complete. Everything is working fine.
