79094032702 Kenmore Range - Instructions

Removed back off of stove. Removed two screws that held in the switch, removed the wires that were connected to the switch and replaced the part.

First i removed the two screws that hold the element
in place. I the pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnect the 2 wires. The new one didn't come with the little holders at the front of the element and were very hard to get loose from the old element .i finally got them back on the new one and put it back in the stove. I unplugged the stove for precautionary reasons.
I then removed the two screws holding element in place with the correct nutdriver.
I then carefully pulled out the element and pulled the two female spade connectors off.
I then compared to new element and plugged the new element in.
Finally I screwed in the new elem ... Read more ent and tested the oven.
It worked again!! I would recommend running the oven for a bit before placing anything in to bake. this allows burn off of stuff on the new element.

Wife was cooking our thanks giving turkey, when an oder of burning was noticed. I walked over to the oven and smelled the area of oven light, it was bad. I turned off and unpluged oven. Twisted replacement bulb into place easily. Let there be light!

Took screws out back of oven to get to connectors . Pulled old conectors off Installed new element took about 5 min. Very easy job. Also good time to clean oven .

Took upper back off ( 6 screws), chech to be sure was right switch, pulled spade clip wires of, put on new switch, checked to see that it worked, replace cover.

pulled oven out, unplugged, unscrewed element attachment to the back of the oven (from the inside). element did not work. we tested the upper element and that did not work either. the burst of sparks, heat and flame from the shorting of the original element caused damage to the computer board. we called a local repair man to change the ... My old drip pans had become soiled and rusty and I tried to buy some and local stores, none fitting like they should. Ordered these and the fit beatifully!

2 1/4 inch screws and 2 blade connectors fir the power. Took me longer to find my nutdriver than the repair.

The light apparatus was loose behind the panel. Remove the remaining part of the lens. Install the new lens from the outside of the panel and hold it in position, protruding into the inside of the panel. Took out 2 screws, removed panel.
When you put the panel in don’t push it tight to the front or the screws won’t align. Just place in gently and the screws will align

I couldn't unscrew the leveling foot because it was rusted and corroded. The bracket holding it was easy to remove so I took the bracket with the corroded foot off and replaced it with the new foot and bracket. Very simple. I made sure I oiled it so it wouldn't rust again.

I replaced the bulb using my hands to twist the bulb in the socket located at the top of the refrigerator.
