Turned off power, took back off stove removed old probe.
I had to splice wires since new probe ends did not match up.

After waiting, I turned the breaker on and my range came back on.

Pulled stove out. Removed screws(5) holding top unit. Tipped top unit to get at the control panel. Removed screws holding control panel. Removed wires from old one and put on to the new one. Reinstalled top panel and turn breaker back on.PS I didn't order a new face panel so had to gentley remove from the old and put on the new panel(be ... Read more fore reinstalling). I would suggest getting a new one when ordering this conrtol panel.

Turned power off at electrical panel. Pulled oven away from wall. Removed back cover (6 screws), then unplugged wires from old receptacle. I had to pull the squeeze clips backwards & break them to remove the old receptacle - couldn't squeeze them enough to remove them otherwise. The old receptacle came out through the inside of the oven, ... Read more and the new one snapped in easily from inside the oven as well. Replaced wiring, installed new bulb, restored power & tested. Replaced back cover. Good time to vacuum under/behind where the oven usually lives before sliding it back to the wall.

First my husband cut off the circuit breaker. He then removed the two screws that held the element in place and pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. shut off breaker to appliance or unplug

remove oven racks

unscrew lock tabs at back of oven

disconect wires on both sides

discard old element reconnect new element
screw new lock tabs back in.

turn on power test oven.

Just plugged in new electronic clock/timer after putting oven clock overlay on front of part. The only sad part was if didn't work could not return as you consider used. Bad business as if not installed how will you know if it works? Would be out $400.00 +

Slid oven out removed one screw one plug replaced part took 5 minutes.told parts repair the error message and they sent me the correct part in two days will use them again saved me from Repair man wanted 85 dollars just to look at it my cost was 28 for probe and 8 dollars for shipping already helped neighbor with their stove they needed n ... found your website ,asked the question, got an answer, recieved a diagram and a possible problem diagnosis. obtained the part threw PartSelect quickly. took the knob off unscrewed two screws out ,disconnected the terminals and reconnected to new switch put the two screws back in and put the knob on!!! thanks ncountry "

Went very well and it works!

The hardest part was pulling the oven away from the wall. Two bolts hold the sensor in place and a clip connects the electronics. Replacing the old one was trivial.

I replaced the bulb using my hands to twist the bulb in the socket located at the top of the refrigerator.
