79093752102 Kenmore Range - Instructions

I had to replace the clock /power panel on the stove. It did not come with a face oover. Both installations were fairly east once the problem was diagnosed. The control part did not show a face plate not included, or needed. I had to reorder the overlay . The job came out perfect and my stove looks like new again.

Pull stove out to get behind it,unplug temperature probe plug. Remove temp probe from oven by removing the screw holding it in place on back of oven. Cut plug off temp probe unit leaving as much lead wire as possible on plug end. Strip wires on new probe and end of plug wires(one quarter inch). Then I used two small butt connectors to joi ... Two small wire 'nuts' may also be used as the connections are outside the oven and not exposed to the heat of the oven while it is in operation. Easy as 1-2-3

Unscrewed the old element (2) screws, then unscrewed the (2) brackets holding the element up, pulled the element out of the back wall of the oven unhooked the (2) electrical wires and left them hanging. Installation is in the exact reverse order.

Would have been simple if Frigidare had not changed the plastic snap wire connector on the part. The replacement part had a different snap together wire connection. After a couple of phone calls stating that the new part and the old part had different part numbers was informed that you have to snip off the ends and use wire connects but ... Read more it was the right part. Once I knew that it was a simple repair if you have the wire connects to connect the wires.

Timer was bad. Removed the four screws on the rear panel, and then the four screws holding the timer in place. I let the old one dangle by the wires until the new one was in place, then just switched the wires one at a time. Be sure and order a new face plate as the old one will not come off without tearing. Re-install rear cover and your done.

Pulled stove away from the wall and unplugged it. Removed probe and cut the wires because the connection clip on the new probe was different from the original. Leave the wires as long as possible because you will need the extra length to splice the clip from the old probe to the wires on the new one. Replaced probe and plugged the oven ba ... replaced temp probe per your suggestion. No improvement! checked both heating elements with ohm meter. OK Next suggestion was replace circuit boards. Bought new range for less than cost of 2 oven/range control boards.

Removed broken element, four screws. Element ends were attached to the oven via wire clips. Removed those too. Placed clips on the ends of the new element and remounted to the top of the oven enclosure with the fours screens. Took twenty to twenty five minutes. We had Tbones a little while later. Saved over 125.00 for repairman.

1. Remove the old Trim by opening the door and unscrewing the two top screws holding the trim and glass to the door. 2. Lift the trim piece off of the glass, being careful as the glass will be a bit loose, and unscrew the handle from the trim piece, discard those two screws. 3. Place the new trim piece on the glass so that it fits snugly. ... Read more 4. Place the screws back through the holes on the inside of the door, through the new trim piece and attach them to the handle. 5. Tighten down snugly and close door. You are done!

In just a few minutes the job was completed and the stove looks shiney and new. The shipment of the parts took only a few days-I was surprised at the quick service.

It was easy once I got screws that work.Old screws and handle had machine screws that held handle on.Order screws with handle so you can install immediately...

I did the repair in less then 5 minutes. I took out old element and put in new one and turned it on and I had heat. Works great Thanks the part came in 2 days what a wonderful suprise that was.

Really easy to replace handle. However, because the new handle does not have the metal inserts to receive the attaching screws (!appearently a bit cheaper to make!), I am concerned that it will not last as long. I could find no reference to new attaching screws so used the old ones...hope it works!

Replaced temp probe and checked OK. This model did not have a full back as the instructional video showed. No cover to remove at all. Only suggestion might be to include two wire nuts of proper size. Average wire nut would be too big. Fortunately, I happened to have a couple.
