Replaced the flat style oven igniter. Turn off gas and unplug oven. Checked voltage supply to oven igniter, had 120 v
to oven igniter, but igniter was not glowing.

First, I read all the instrutions that came with my replacement part from Parts Select thoroughly (twice) then follewed them like an experienced surgeon. I removed the lower drawr after turning off the gas and unplugging the stove and then took out the bottom panels inside the oven to expose the screws holding the ignitor coil. Removed it ... Read more , then cnnected the new one to the existing wires as they were in the stove and the drawing in the instructions, then replaced everything in the reverse of them coming apart. Plugged it back in, turned the gas back on and now it,ll bake things again. YEAH!! Parts Select!!!

Removed the two screws, took out the old one and replaced the new one. It was very easy and the oven works great now. Thanks.

From the front I cut the wires going to the old igniter and removed it. Then I stripped insulation back 3/8 of an inch. Using the ceramic wire nuts that came with the new igniter, I connected the new wires to the existing. Then I installed the new igniter and the job was done. took off bottom pan in oven and replaced ignitor

after reading other replies i was 100 percent sure that my igniter was the problem . just as others said it had a veryh dem glow . once i changed it the oven lit in about 5 seconds .very easy to install and saved at lease $ 400 on not needing a new stove. thanks parts select . com

i followed some of the tips provided, and added a few of my own. unplug stove from electric outlet. open oven door, remove wire trays. remove the two flathead screws, holding down the oven pan, it should slide out easily. remove oven burner(looks like wings)only one nut holding it in place with 1/4"nutdriver. remove igniter, 2 nuts as wel ... Read more l with 1/4" nutdriver. cut wires, leave a good length, and strip(2 wires). install new igniter, strip the 2 wires as well, trim to size, and with the two wire caps provided, make wire connections. tuck any excess length of wires away from igniter. re-install all parts the were orginally removed. plug oven back into outlet. turn on oven, and presto, oven worked good as new. saved a couple of hundred dollars doing the repair myself

I googled most of the problem I was having. When I would turn on the oven I would have the orange glow from the igniter but I would never get heat. After finding your page and using your trouble shooting guide, it was easy getting the right part and the video helped a lot. Removed the over rack- removed two screws to remove the bottom- two screws to remove the burner. Clipped the two wires to the old igniter and removed the burner from the oven,removed the two screws holding the igni ... Read more ter and installed new one. clipped the wires to length and renistalled the burner. Using the two wire nuts supplied put the wires togather and reinstalled the bottom. Everything went well lite first try with no poof sound. Just in time for Thanksgiving cooking. Got fast delivery of parts. Will uas again. Thanks Partselect.

took out the old (2 screws) put clip on wires and put the new part in. Simple

1. Unplugged unit and shut gas off.
2. Removed the oven door(2screws).
3. Removed the oven floor(3screws).
4. Removed heat dispersion plate(1bolt).
5. Removed faulty igniter(2screws).
6. Labeled and spliced wires.
7. Connected new igniter.
8. Installed all previously removed parts.

suspected oven ignitor,went to partselect website and saw
others had same concern and ignitor was the failed part.ignitor was not getting white hot just orange-not enough
voltage going to the gas valve to open it.ordered and replaced
ignitor.repair took about 20 minuets-oven repaired.
