First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Flip up top, remove wires and two screws. Replace in opposite way. Turn off power to stove first.

ordered switch for on, off. Turned power off at breaker.opened oven door, underneath top console there are four philip screws.. remove top and take slotted screwdriver and unscrew four plastic nuts. I used pocket knife..remove plastic cover , and then remove four more philip screws to remove metal plate that holds all four control switchs ... Disconnected power at breaker. Removed cooktop mounting screws, lifted top and propped in up position. Removed two screws and lowered two front burners mounting frame. Read more on was heating up. Finally figured out the problem and everything works as advertised. Pay attention if you own a Kenmore product.

Removed screws on the sides and front.
Labeled the wire sets connected to the front control panel.
Gently lifted up the stove top and flipped it over on to a towel.
Removed the piece of metal holding down the burner.
Disconnected the cables to the old burner.
Repeated steps above in reverse.

Followed on-line instructions to remove the defective heating element. Some connection tabs on the replacement unit were different than the original. One tab was too wide to accept the stove's slip-on wire connector without fling down the tab width on the heating element. Thanks to some on-line instructions, wire connections to element 1a ... Read more and 2a had to be reversed. If not for those instructions I would probably have ended up sending the unit back to the supplier, as an incorrect replacement !

My husband followed the video instructions and it was easy to fix.

Have a double wall oven and the top oven would not shut off or broiler part would stay on and burn tops of food. Since bottom oven was not having any issues felt like it could
Not be control panel so decided to try the temp sensor. Since replacing oven has worked properly.

Remove 4 knobs from front of stove.

Remove plastic nuts that are directly underneath oven knobs. Loosen with plyers and unscrew.

Remove front cover.

Remove 8 screws holding down electrical panel. Remove panel. Remove 2 screws holding switch into place. Transfers wires from old switch to new switch so you h ... Read more ook them up correctly. Then reinstall in reverse order. Job complete in 15 minutes.

It was really easy just unplugged it took off the back cover changed the part out put back cover on plugged it in and the elements were working great!
