72069 LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Found the broken spring; matched it with parts diagram. Googled for sources via part number. Selected this site because it had best deal - price, availability, shipping. Part arrived as predicted; installed it in 2 minutes. Job done. Door now works.

I looked at the picture I took. Used needle nose pliers and inserted one end. Unless the lady of the house is very strong, this should be handled by a man, because of the rigid spring. Removed 4 screws then removed ice maker unit. Unplugged the old unit. Checked and verified the inlet tube was clean and not blocked. Plugged in the new unit. Placed unit into proper location and verified it was properly in place. Replaced the 4screws. Turned on the unit closed the ice door and it started making ice maybe an hour later by ... I installed the new 3 wire ice maker very easily, but it was defective. I was told that instructions for the return of the defective part would be sent later due to the virus. I have never received the return instruction.
I did receive a credit for the defective part. VERY Satisfied with y’all’s service.

Expensive to have repair man come out and find out that I’ve been mailed wrong spring again. My icemaker is on the left hand side this is the side of refrigerator- I need the spring for left side with the ice maker. Twice they have mailed me the Wrong spring that goes on the right hand side I have tried to explain this to the person that ... Read more waits on me. Do I have to pay for another spring and mail this one back ?i have mailed one back and postage is getting expensive.

Removed two screws from door and three locking brackets with a small common screw driver. Raised the bracket, slide in the spring, held down the bracket, installed screws and plastic covers. Less than 2 minutes. Easy application no problem with the new spring or ,mullion..

Removed mullion strip with Phillips screwdriver replaced spring reinstalled the mullion strip all in about 15 minutes.

Slid the replacement shelves into place.

The repair was an easy replacement. The problem was the LG part was no longer available from LG or any of the other places I tried. The PartSelect customer service representative was a true professional and did an outstanding job of helping find the correct part (LG's diagram was unreadable) and cross-referenced it to find the the part th ... I ordered the needed parts, the correct ones I thought, but when they arrived, I realized they were the wrong parts shipped to me. The reason the wrong parts were shipped to me was because PartsSelect failed to advise me there were none of the parts I needed available so they shipped the left hand basket assembly, door, versus the desire ... That's how I did the repair.

I disconnected the refrigerator power, removed the 2 screws holding the mullion door on the left side of the refrigerator French-door (it’s the flap that allows the door to close). Thanks to videos on You-Tube which showed step by step removal and replacement. It was a simple process. only thing missing on the video was information on the green ground wire.

I just popped out the broken bin and slid the new one into the slots on the door.

The fix was easy. I appreciate the expert advice on which part to purchase, as that was difficult to figure out. I received a prompt response to my question and the replacement part came quickly.

Called a local repair shop to get the problem diagnosed. Nice repair guy came out and was pretty confident that it was the main board . However his supplier had it on backorder and had a 7 day shipment estimate. When he told me I got on the internet and parts select had the part in stock with a 2-3 business day arrival. Without the diagnosis I would have been in the dark as to what was wrong so it was worth the fee for the service call to get an expert diagnosis

unfortunately my fridge stopped working. I purchased another but wanted to try and repair the old one. when ew one arrived, the old one was supposed to be put in garage but instead was hauled away. Had delivery return next day but they had as already removed and lost the handle screw for the bottom freezer and the screw that holds handle ...
