SOLENOID

The solenoid is a high-current switch that sends power to the starter motor to spin the engine when you turn the ignition key to the start position. The control coil at the bottom of the starter solenoid closes a contact between the top solenoid posts to send current to the starter motor when the bottom control coil gets power from the ignition switch. The most common reason for replacing the solenoid is when the engine will not start or even turn over, and the battery is not dead. This part is sold individually. Nut, Speed, 5/16-18 L
Part #1935255SM
This U-type locking speed nut is used in your lawn equipment to secure components. It grips onto a threaded bolt or stud, to fasten components together without needing extra tools like a wrench. This speed nut is a grade 5 replacement part with a 5/16-inch diameter and 18 threads per inch. It is also commonly used for panels, covers, brackets, and more, such as the engine frame or muffler cover. If the speed nut fails to hold things securely and they become loose or wobbly, it may be broken or worn out. Additionally, your machine may experience excessive vibrations or rattling. This can lead to potential damage, like cracks or harm to nearby components. The location of the speed nuts in your machine will vary depending on its make and model. Consult your user manual to find the specific instructions on how to access them. It may involve removing certain components or covers. To remove the speed nut, start by unthreading the screw or bolt that is holding it in place. Once the fastener is removed, you can pry the speed nut off your machine. Keep in mind that speed nuts are sold individually, so it is a good idea to check how many you will need. It is recommended to replace all the speed nuts at once since they tend to wear out at a similar rate.
