The hardest part was figuring which breaker controlled the oven because it wasn't marked in my breaker box (it IS now!). So, first I killed all power to the stove, then unscrewed the 2 screws in the back of the oven holding the element. Pulled the element forward, then dissconnected the 2 clampy connector wires (yes, I'm a girl, no correc ... Read more t electrical jargon here). These were a little difficult because my oven is 21 years old & this is the first replacement I've had to do. I reconnected the new element clamps(which was easier), pushed the wires back through the opening & reinserted the screws. Threw the breaker back on, turned on oven to 200 degrees & let heat until the set temperature light turned off as a test. Voila - oven fixed!

We have had our Whirlpool oven for 22 years and became very concerned that a part would not be available. We were thrilled to find the part as well as install the new part ourselves. With a screw driver, we disconnected the old baking element ( be sure to shut the power while doing this) and screwed in the new one. That simple!!!

Fourth, I removed the frame holding the broken glass to the door by removing the screws using my nut driver. I carefully removed the broken glass and vacuumed the channel that had the gasket in it. The gasket was fine so I did not have to replace it and will return it. I placed the glass in the frame on the gasket and reassembled the door in reverse order of how I had disassembled. All went smooth as silk.

removed the screws that held the element in place. Pulled out the element out about three inches and disconnected the two wires, put the new one in, did the reverse and done. the best part was I orderd it on line after 3:oopm on a thursday and the part was delivered by saturday morning- wow!

With a phillips head screw driver we removed 2 screws pulled out the element about 3 inches and disconnecte the two wires from the insulated connection put the new element in replaced the element in the wall of the oven and replaced the 2 screws. Started the oven and we were good to go.

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place with a 2' Phillips Head. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires, with nose pliers, since they were semi-hard to remove the male from the female terminals.
I placed the order over the computer and it arrived in 2 days.

Well it was quite simple to replace all I used was a long Phillips screw driver,the job only took me 10 minutes to complete,thank you so much for the part you sent me it was the correct part.

Turned off the breaker to the stove. Removed the two screws holding the element in place. Pulled off the wire terminals, removed old element. Reconnected the two wires, slid new element into place, reinserted the two holding screws, turned back on breaker. 5 minutes.

I ordered part from Part Select, which literally arrived in 2 days. I unscrewed the two (2) screws holding the old bake element in the oven. Pulled out the element and detached the wires connected to the element, which was easily done without any tools. Attached those wires (again easily by hand with no tools) to the new bake element and ... Read more screwed the two (2) screws back in. The whole process including ordering the part online, unpacking the box and installing took 15 minutes. Wonderful and in time for my wife and daughter to bake Christmas cookies!

My husband took the plastic cover off and took out old bulb and screwed in the new one. Then put the cover back on.

I took out 2 screws and installed new element! It took 5 mins.

Made sure that "Breaker" for oven is in the off positon.

Opened oven door to the first "stay open" position...lifted door straight up...and off of the hinges....which removes the door....and allows easier access to oven.

Removed oven racks

Removed two philips head

Pulled burned out element tow ... Read more ard the front of the oven.....exposing the two connector wires.

Used pliers to pull wire connectors from burner element connectors.

Reversed the order of this process....to install new element.

I order the part on 7/29 and much to my surprise, it arrived the very next day. It took less than 15 minutes to remove the old element and installed the new one. It was a little difficult to unplug the old one and took quite a bit of pulling but it came out okay. Plugging in the new one and screwing on the cover plate was easy.
