take door off. remove screws holding door together, take door apart. remove worn seal. install new seal. reposition insulation and door window at the appropriate location. begin re-assembling door in reverse order making sure that apprpriate pressure is applied to keep the seal in place. re-attach door to hinges. project worked out well. ... I'm handy, but things like this are often hard the first time. you have to take your time and be cognizant of putting it back together the way you took it apart.

Just removed the broken vent cover.
Injected foaming sealant.
Pushed on the vent cover plate.
Screwed it in place.
More foaming sealant.
Clipped on the flapper and secured the cover.

First, I made sure the circuit breaker was off to the oven. Next, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place , pulled the element out a few inches and eased the wires apart at the metal connectors. I eased in the new wires, put the two screws back in, and voila. In under five minutes, the oven was fixed.

Had to disassemble the top of the stove and the control panel on the front. I took digital pictures as I disassembled so I could refer to them when putting the stove back together, especially when disconnecting wiring. It took about 3 hours, but most of that time was spent thoroughly cleaning 16 years of baked on grease from places that ... Read more are normally unaccessible. Read more t apart again and then put it back together. Turning the door over we found that the glass assembly had slipped. This meant that we had to take it apart again. This went on two more times LOL. Then the gasket gave us a couple of small fits as well. All in all it was a neat experience. I do suggest, unless you are experienced in appliance repair, to NOT disassemble the door until the parts arrive.

I changed out the infinite switch without any problems. The indicator light was another problem. It wasn't the light that was bad, it was the indicator light lens that snaps into the panel. The light then attaches to the lense. The lense broke and the indicator light pulled away with the tension on the wires. Now I have to order replaceme ... Removed 4 screws under the top unit that holds the stove control knobs. Open oven door for better view. Tilt whole unit (width of stove) up and out of top flange. Remove knobs for timer and the two control knobs (that operate the range burners) nearest the clock. Take out the screws by these knobs, 2 per knob and then you can get the ... Make sure you have turned off range at your fuse box before working on stove. Works good as new now, I assume it was hit by lighting that also made me replace our garage door opener.

I enlarged the vent access hole from four (4) inches to five (5) inches to accomodate a larger pipe. I then purchased locally a 5" to 4" transition and installed it in the enlarged opening, and sealed the space with expanding foam for a bug-proof air-tight fit. On the outside, in the place of the aluminum vent cap, I installed the 5" Jenn-Aire vent cover purchased from PartSelect.com. The new vent is large enough to completely cover the chiseled out masonry area, and the 5" outlet reduces air noise from the dryer, but best of all the new vent provides the high quality look I needed to match the brick of my new home.

Followed the instructions given by Paul from Mickleton, NJ. Very simple, no problem. Using two small blocks of wood to hold spring loaded hinges out while I replaced the door on the hinges was a big help. Thanks for the excellent delivery time. Great service.

Being a single Mom for almost 16 years I have learned to do everything. When the Jenn-Air oven baking element started on fire I freaked out. It turns out that PartSelect.com has the part as usual. Finding part needed and quick shipping were great. Web site so helpful. Initial attempt to remove old part was troublesome because I took out wrong screws thinking I had to remove parts beneath burner. Once I figured it out, it was so easy.
1. Turn off power.
2. Remove 4 screws BELOW control panel (open oven door to see them) < ... Read more br />3. Pull off 7 front knobs.
4. Lift out loosened panel.
5. Take out the two screws holding control switch to front panel. Note orientaion of switch.
6. Replace wire by wire to new switch.
7. Put it all back together. Make sure switch is put in same direction.
8. Turn power on.

My spouse calls me Mr. Breakit--and she's right. I was delighted to read others' accounts that this was easy, but I wasn't sure. When the part arrived, we had 1 hour before company arrived. (Oh, yeh, do remember to turn the juice off.) We were "cooking" in about ten minutes. So easy a caveman could do it. And I did.

So easy even I can do it. !!!
