Leaking base and silicone seal
Just swapped out parts and no more leak. I figured out the leak was around the blades and the nut holding it together wasn't staying tight. New parts fit perfect. No tools.

The driver (coupling) on my Kitchenaid Blender disintegrated.
I decided to see if I could dislodge the faulty coupling. I placed a screw driver under the coupling and pushed up. It dislodged. Subsequently I found a youtube video that indicated that was exactly what I should do.
I ordered the part from parts select and placed the coupling on my blender. It screws in counterclockwise. It works fine. I am very satisfied.

coupling got chewed up
to replace the coupling you take the bottom off the blender and loosen the screws that hold the bracket and fan -then comes the hard part-the shaft screw is bolted through every bit of the guts then into the coupling. It is a lefthand thread. I ended up having to fabricate a piece of metal that slipped into the top of the coupling (in the teeth.) Then I secured the metal piece-it was just a twi inch piece of steel- in the vise, I held the blender and I got a big guy to attack the shaft bolt with a bunch of pressure and a straight screwdriver. It finally popped and I was able to unscrew the old coupling and replace it with the new. Reminds of when guys put on lug nuts and I have to try and get them off. But I saved at least $100.

The rubber blender foot was missing.
Inserted the replacement rubber blender foot in to the socket. Simply pushed it in. Fit snugly. Thanks for being one of the only places you can get a replacement rubber blender foot!

Jar broke
So sad when I forgot to take the spoon out of my nice new blender, causing it to break the jar! But, for a fair price and a few short days of waiting, Partselect sent me a new jar. The smoothies are pouring once again!
