This part is an OEM from Abu Garcia. The Worm Guard 5000 is made for use with Ambassadeur fishing reels, and is sold individually. The protective metal and plastic guard is fitted onto the worm shaft in the frame. You will need a screwdriver and pliers for the removal and replacement.

Retaining/Lock Rings are designed such that their contact diameter has some interference fit with the groove in which they fit. This creates a fit between the ring and groove. This part is made out of metal and is sold individually. To complete this repair you would need a screwdriver and pliers.
