52750-4 General Electric Washer - Instructions

After the part arrived, I located a pair of needle nose pliers. Then removed the broken one and inserted the new one. It was very easy.
I also noted that the new part was of a better design than the original. It should not need further attention.

I unpluged the machine. Pried out the old switch with the tip of a screw driver. Pried off the connectors, there was not enough extra wire for me to connect the new switch through the front of the machine. I pushed the new switch in place. I placed a wash bucket on the drum to hold the top open , connected the 2 connectors to the switch and snapped top back in place.

First I went on-line and found a download for the parts catalogue which contains a schematic for the washer. After looking this over I could determine how to get the washer apart! After getting the front panel off, I disconnected the drain hose from the pump with a pair of water-pump pliers. As I pulled this hose out, water spilled out ... Read more all over the floor, so I then cleaned that up. Next I connected the new hose and put the machine back together. This job would have cost me over $150 if I had called in a repairman. I made this repair more difficult than it needed to be. I took off the back panel of the machine completely, only to discover the coupling for the hose was near the front of the machine. I tilted the unit on its side and took off the bottom before ... Read more I discovered the access panel on the front, which is held on by only two screws. I put the bottom panel back on, tilted it upright, took off the panel, and had easy access to the coupling. The new part fit perfectly, and a quick wash load proved the leak was fixed.

Read more 't disconnect the door wiring, but you can if you need to do so. I just spun the front panel to the left and out of the way. With the drum exposed, I confirmed the belt was broken. I replaced the belt, then the front panel and top panel. While I was inside the dryer, I did a through cleaning with the vacuum to get all the lint.

first i removed the top -second I removed the two screws hold the front on - thrid I unpluged the wiring to remove the front - fourth I removed old part and cleaned off old glue -fifth I applied new glue and new part - sixth I reasembled - worked good as new

The part arrived in just a couple of days and was exactly the right one. Simply removed the old and replaced and now the dryer works 100 percent better. .

Other parts used were; front lower basket seal, dryer seal, and dryer drum belt.

Had no problems except for keeping the drum belt idler pulley tension spring in place. Used the rear access panel to solve this issue.

Don’t do like I did and undo the drummer from the back of that thing pulled off the bearing

had a great video to follow, made it easy to install.

Ordered this part to replace a drain hose that had been cut short on the washer. Installation was straight-forward. Removed the two front screws to access the cabinet. Locate the drain hose and remove with a pair of pliers. Install the new part and attach the clamp with the pliers just like removal. Took about 15 minutes.

I removed the top cover and the back cover to install new belt.
Once i put new belt i discovered that the pulley was also broken so now i have order the pulley so that i can complete the repair

the pulley spring took so much pressure to hold it down it took 3 men and a boy to hold it and place it in position to to get the belt on. Also there is not enough room to get your arms and hands in without getting some small cuts.Ultimately I removed the screws in the back of the dryer and spread the side of the dryer out to gain proper ... Open the top of the dryer. Reach inside and remove 2 screws that hold the front in place. Detach the power cord inside where there is a connector. Remove the front of the dryer. That exposed the drum glide where all three nylon guides had worn off.

Reverse the first paragraph to re-install.
