4868 - Instructions

Unplugged stove, removed screws holding element In place. Pulled element forward exposing electrical ends. Removed connectors, re- connected ends to new element. Pushed element back into holes and reconnected the screws. Plug stove back in.

The repair took less time than finding the model number. After unplugging the range and allowing it to cool I disconnected the element (2 screws), went online and found Part Select ordered the element and saved $16.00 dollars over the least expensive local shop, I was amazed at how fast the element arrived, I believe it was 4 days from or ... Read more der to my door. I went to my local hardware store for some new connectors for the wire, put them on and plugged in the element fastened down the two screws and went back to baking cookies. The element was well and safely packed and came in perfect condition. It works like a charm. Thank You

slid the old one out and slid the new one in.turned the unit on and it works

turn off power to oven at breaker box
remove screws holding bake element in
pulls wires off old element
put wires on new element
put the screws back in
turn the power back on

the part snapped on the side of the track, now the draw is not sitting on the floor and opens and closes like new.

My husband had recently moved out of our house so I was very nervous about trying this repair myself but it was actually very easy!!I ordered the part on Monday, it arrived on Wednesday and Wednesday night I was baking dinner in the oven!!

Disconnected the main electrical plug from the wall for the oven..
Used a nut driver to remove the two screws that held the heating elementin place.
Pulled the element out so I could remove the two wire terminals.
Installation of the new heating element was fairly basic..Oven is working great..

Unplugged oven, pulled out old element, reattached new one, making sure to be careful with wires, and put on as secure as possible, just like it was before. . . Very easy to fix

Removed screws. Tried to pull out old element but spade lugs on old element were bent at ninety degree angle. Once I figured that out I was able to manouver the old element out with the attached wires. Had to be carfull that the loose wires did not slip back ijn through the hole. Unscrewed 2 screws, pulled the wires out and unplugged the old element, plugged the new one in, screwed 2 screws back in, so easy anyone can do this, it's nice to have a second person holding a flashlight but couldn't be any easier.

ordered new heating element, arrived promptly as expected, compared new heating element to old one and it matched in size only diameter a little different, removed two sheet metal screws holding element in place and pulled out element to expose conductors and removed them with screwdriver. unfastened clip at back of oven w/screwdriver. Pulled out the plug, unplugged the element. Plugged in new element, pushed back into place, refastened clip to hold it in place at back of oven.. Done

Turn off the power to the range. Remove oven racks. Remove the two screws and slowly pull the element out being careful not to pull the wires off. Remove the two wires then attach them to the new element. Push the element back in place, put the screws back in, turn on the power and turn on oven to make sure the problem is fixed
