4478B Frigidaire Range - Instructions

The drawer under the oven had been aggravating me for some time. It was titled and did not close right. Finally, I took it out to see what the problem was and noticed that the glides were broken. It's times like this when I can't figure out how we all lived without the internet!

I removed the drawer, removed and replaced the guides on both sides in the front and replaced the drawer.

Just use flat screwdriver to press on clip and just squeeze it in

After researching on what exactly to call the part, which was a front drawer glide. I found this out by watching the video. It showed me exactly what I needed and what it looked like. I run to the oven to look at the other one, to make sure thats what I needed, and it looked like the part that I needed (mind you I am a female, and not a ... When the part arrived, I knew how to take the drawer out, and easily snapped the little plastic glide in to place, and slipped the drawer back on the gliders, and it worked perfect, so proud of myself, that I done it by myself, with no help from husband. I bragged and bragged on myself with a big pat on my own back, thanks Part Select, I know what to do when it happens again. Unplugged the element and the melted on pot. Plugged in the new element. I thought I might need a whole new cooktop but a new element was very easy to find online.

1. First I pulled out the heating element from stovetop and removed old pan (no screws) very simple. 2. Put new pan in and inserted the heating element back in place.

First I unplugged the element that wasn't working and switched it with one that was to confirm that it was the burner element, and not the cooktop wiring, that was the problem. Once that was confirmed, I ordered a new element from partselect.com. Upon arrival of the new element several days later, I plugged it into the empty plug on the c ... Read more ooktop and voila, we're cooking on all 4 again.

Watching the video showed an easy, unscrew and screw back on process while connecting the wires back. It was really that simple. Once it was complete (not even 10mins), plugged it back in, and its been working great since.

Easy repair, I used a screw driver to pry out the broken part and no tools were required to put in the new part.

Unplugged range and cut wires on existing burner plug. Connected the replacement plug with the provided wire-nuts. Secured with provided shrink-wrap. Reattached burner plug to to range top, and plugged in the burner coil. Presto.

Easy to open package and plug in unit! Too simple and quite happy with end results!

Took the new parts out of the bags, slipped them into place and had the drawer working flawlessly in less than 5 minutes!
I surprised myself.

Pulled out the bottom drawer of the stove. Attached the new drawer glide to the drawer. Replaced the drawer and it worked like new!
