Drawer glides were snapped off

  • MICHELLE from STOUGHTON, MA
  • Really Easy

The drawer under the oven had been aggravating me for some time. It was titled and did not close right. Finally, I took it out to see what the problem was and noticed that the glides were broken. I googled the model no. of the stove (figuring I would have no luck) and to my great relief was directed to this EXCELLENT site. I ordered the new drawer glides within minutes and they were literally delivered the next day. Snapped right in, fixed, happy!! It's times like this when I can't figure out how we all lived without the internet!

Repair was easy. just unscrewed the old handle, holes measured correctly and screwed in the new handle. The only flaw was that it did not come with the two end caps, they have to be bought separately & the handle ends are sharp without them.

Old cooktop burner element died.
1 of 3 people found this instruction helpful.
  • Lawrence from Plainview, NY
  • Really Easy
  • Less than 15 mins
First I unplugged the element that wasn't working and switched it with one that was to confirm that it was the burner element, and not the cooktop wiring, that was the problem. Once that was confirmed, I ordered a new element from partselect.com. Upon arrival of the new element several days later, I plugged it into the empty plug on the c ooktop and voila, we're cooking on all 4 again.

Watching the video showed an easy, unscrew and screw back on process while connecting the wires back. It was really that simple. Once it was complete (not even 10mins), plugged it back in, and its been working great since.

I've been to many appliance repair stores looking for White-Westinghouse Stove Parts and have been told their 'unavailable'! Then I checked PartsSelect.com- and they were listed as 'available'. The 6" & 8" Drip Bowls shipped quick and arrived packed well. The new Drip Bowls aren't as heavily made as the originals- but they are exact repla cements and very easy to replace. The wife is happy and with many replacement parts & how-to-videos for repair we plan on keeping this stove for another 20 years!

Fed ex dropped the part off at 7 one night, had it repaired by 7:05. Popped the broken glide off, popped the new one in. Easier than easy. Took longer to empty the drawer and remove it than to do the repair.

My wife had fussed at me for two years to fix the drawer, I kept forgetting to pickup the glides. I did a Google search and found your site, ordering parts was a breeze. Parts came in two days after ordered. After removing drawer new glides popped right in with no tools needed. The burner that never would lay flat I pulled out and install ed new one with out use of tools. It lays nice and flat, now my pancakes are level !!!
