The housing itself is designed to enable wet drilling tasks, with a water hose fitting that connects to the drill and delivers a controlled stream of water directly to the drilling area. You can determine if the seal needs replacement by inspecting it for signs of wear, damage, or deterioration. If you notice any water leakage from the swivel housing during use, the seal may be compromised and in need of replacement. You may also find visible cracks on it. To replace the seal, refer to your user manual for guidance on disassembling the drill to access the swivel housing. Once accessed, you can remove the old seal and install the new one. Keep in mind that the housing, as well as its associated components like the shut-off valve and water hose fitting, are sold separately from this replacement part.
