Turn water off and unplug unit first. I remove the 2 retaining screws under counter, pulled out dishwasher. I laid it on it's side to get to pump, loosen up Hose clamps on inlet and outlet ports on pump. You may need a towel or rags to soak up a small amount of water from hoses and old pump. Removed old pump and installed new one in reverse order. I had to use the 90* adapter hose and the white adapter for my drain hose.The kit contains all adapters and it all fits perfect. Reinstalled and tested unit worked great!!!

Unscrewed unit from counter and loosened legs using adjustable supports under dishwasher. After switching off water under sink and power at circuit breaker, removed motor and pump assembly and replaced with repair kit.

Took off little white plastic pieces at end of rail. Old rack off and new rack on. End pieces in and railing tighten with pliers. Easy!!!

Not really difficult to do. First remove the washer from the counter and flip it over. Carefully determine the correct drawing in the instructions which matches your machine. Follow insructions and double check everything. Took about an hour - and I saved about $350.00 by fixing it myself rather than buying a new one!

I had a problem where the GE dishwasher would randomly stall upon startup due to a dead spot in the motor which prevented it from energizing. Read more e cabinet area and turned it over to make it easier to replace the motor and pump assembly which only took a matter of minutes; the most difficult part of the repair being the reinstalling of the dishwasher. The replacement motor/pump assy was not only modified from the original parts but it is also much quieter than the original. I also have to commend PartSelect on their very speedy delivery which was only 2 days. All in all with a couple of minor modifications that was taken care of with the included parts the repair went very easy.

I went to your site and check all the diagrams and then read the postings from others. I turned off the electrical breaker then took off the lower cover of the dishwasher. I took the lower cover pannel screws out of the dish washer to view the pump assy. Then remove the solinoid bracket which covered the Drain Valve Seal. The hardest part was removing the star washer in front of the seal. That is where I had to use the pliers to remove it. Then I had to straighten

Installed new motor and pump kit. Very easy, except that the instructions did not give any detail on the electrical hook-up. The problem was that the electrical connections for the motor and solenoid were the same on the replacement kit, making it possible to switch them. Basically, I told my girlfriend, hey, if you are board, this box has the parts to fix the dishwasher in it. When I got home from work, I had to connect one wire, and tighten a couple of screws. The kit has great, easy to follow directions. Thanks!!

I pulled the two clips in the rack guides and pulled out rack and reinstalled the new rack and put the clip back in the rack guides

Well disassembly was good - removed the spring cam assembly on the dump valve cam, then two screws of the solenoid to remove the solenoid, beyond that the repair became a little tough since the seal / shaft retainer wasdifficult to remove. The shaft has a grove which the retainer clip is hard to remove from, and once removed - it deform ... Read more ed, so i installed the seal using a nut driver as a seal press to evenly press it into place. then had to work the retainer with a small set of pliers to reshape it, then reaasembled in place which is when i realized why it was hard to get off due to the shaft grove, which as well as holds the seal it also aligns the shaft latteraly in the pump housing, but after putting it all together and firing up the dishwasher, no leaks and it was an hour laying on my side which i feel was worth it, thx jon

Pulled the dishwasher out from under the counter using a little rug to keep the metal feet from scratching the tile. It is surprisingly light. Old motor and pump are held in mainly by pipe clamps, easy to remove once the washer has been pulled out and turned on its side.

The instructions that came with the pump kit show how ... Read more to set it up for several different dishwashers. Once you figure out which one you have it is quite easy to set it up. Mine leaked when I first started it up. I pulled it back out and re-tightened the large pipe clamps and it now runs dry.

The dishwasher runs quieter and the dishes come out clean now.

replaced pump and motor with new one. worked but pump would not empty the water. ordered additional parts check valve,seal and box that check valve screwed into. did not fix problem. Got to looking at replacement pump and discovered thet discharge solonoid was not completely opening the discharge port. I could hold it down manually and ... Read more the machine would empty. I reported the problem to parts select and they without question shipped me a new pump and motor. took the dishwasher out of the wall again and swapped them out, and now it works fine. the repair was easy and simple. the difficulty was taking the dishwasher out and reinstalling it 3 times. I will use parts select again if the need arises.

I pulled the old basket out with my right hand and inserted the new basket with my left hand! HA! Maybe 5 seconds!
