3KSM150PSTDR5 KitchenAid Mixer - Instructions

I found a video on how to repair mixer that would not turn. Watched video several times and replaced worn worm gear. Getting the old worm gear was the most difficult part of the job. I had to go purchase a pin punch ($5.50) with the correct tool is was easy.

Unscrew and dismounted the mixer, gather all pieces and screws, cleaned and washed every part, took away the old grease and replaced it with a new one, also looked carefully for the lost teeth and found them, Put grease in every part, put back and screwed all the pieces of the mixer, then tried the mixer which worked really well.

It's a bit messy due to all the packing grease, but a pair of nitrile gloves, paper towels, and an old rag help. We put a garbage bag over the appliance after it was taken apart to protect it from any dust and my curious cat. We let the kitchenaid cycle for about a minute to make sure the gear was greased. I haven't used it to make bread yet, but I'll do that soon. Thanks for supplying the part that saved us at least one hundred dollars and TRY to get a person who will repair small appliances.

It only involves reinserting the beater . And the thumb-screw was falling out so I cleaned the area and replaced the thumb screw. Very simple and easily done.

unscrewed old part, put in new part.New part much better design than old one. Works great. Your service is great. Had the part in a 2-3 days. Awesome.

I ordered a new wire whip and attached it just like it was the original. WALLA!!! Done.

This is the easiest repair ever! I removed the 3 screws, cleaned around the area with a sponge and kitchen cleaner and put on the new cap. The screws went back in easily and voila ! Done!

Removed the old screw cap and installed the new one-only has 3 screw to remove and re install. VERY easy. Fits perfectly

remove 3 screws ,remove old sanding disc replace with new installl screws

Removed the mixer from the base by removeing the pivot pin at the mixer base support. 2. removed the retainer ring from the housing. 3. removed the pin from the shaft. 4. removed 5 philips machine screws from the round base. 5. removed the round base from the mixer housing. 6. removed the o-ring from the shaft. 7. removed the shaft and ... Read more large worm/pinion gear from the shaft. 8. pressed out the pinion drive gear from the mixer. The reverse operation repaired the mixer to new condition.
