took 1 screw out and removed ice maker and slid new one in and replace screw and connected power cord

I am more than 80 yrs, always thought I could fix just about everything--but, this looked complicated. Once I received the new icemaker; took a good look where the screw-holes, etc. were, then removed the "old" one. Took about 20 or 30 minutes, then the "new" one was easily installed.

Followed the video, very simple

Took out the old, replaced with the new. Needed second person to hold the flash light. That is the secret to get it plugged in and secured.

Ice maker was side mount instead of rear mount as shown in previous insructions. Removed one screw and slide ice maker forward. used flat head screw driver to undo the ice maker plug. Pluged it in and turned on the ice maker. Had new ice in a couple of hours. It comes with a round plug to square plug adapter, new fill cup and fill tube, all of which I didn't use.

Only needed to remove one screw, slide unit out and disconnect the power cord. Theb reverse the above operation to install the replace ice maker unit. Quick and extremely easy....

i watched the free video and then made the switch my ice screw had 4 bolts instead of three that was the only difference used the screw driver to loosen the straps on the connection plug and that was it easy as pie in about 30 minutes i heard it drop a load of ice it beats filling ice trays all the time thank you partselect for the free v ... I ordered a new micro switch that was activated by the high ice lever. Once the switch was replaced the ice maker cut off as it should have and stopped producing too much ice. YHis job was of moderate skill level, the most challenging was replacing a spring that popped out then reassembling the unit.
