I pulled off the old gasket and pressed in the new one. That's it!

After looking at our broken bottom shelf in the fridge many times a day for over a year, I finally got around to doing something about it. So glad that I did! First of all, the part was shipped amazingly quickly. I had it within two days (at regular shipping). Secondly, it was a cinch to install. What a world of difference!
The only ... Read more caveat is that the new shelf fits quite snugly. If you don't give the refrigerator door an extra push to close it, the door does not seal. Just a new habit we have to get into.

Removed old gear and tapped the replacement on.

First the Kenmore refrigerator was listed as most parts as not available on the Sears web site.

Very easy. Removed all the parts from the fridge. Removed the glass. Unscrewed the two screws holding the rails to the front and rear support. The front support that has the "fruit" and veggie" settings, you have to remove the plastic name cover off to expose the front screws. The install is the reverse of the removal. Removed the ice maker from the freezer. Removed the switch. Tested the switch with a multimeter. Ordered a new switch. Replaced it in the box. Installed the ice maker ( 3screws and electric cord plug. It works. Details available on the internet.

I removed the maker from the freezer, three phillps head screws, I pulled off the white plastic cover and found the top (small) gear had poped out, after carefull inspection, I notice two missing teeth. At this time of the year our beach fridge is always full of food and drinks. Every time we want something it meant leaving the door open for extended time whlie moving things left, right and center. Found the part I needed in only a few minutes on the website and ordered it in less than 5 minutes. The part came within 2 days and I simply removed 2 screwes from the old part and installed the new part and replaced the 2 screws , the easiest repair job that I have ever done in my home. Thanks

I took out the vegetable bins and slid in the part. Replaced vegetable bins. Works perfect. I was told locally that GE doesn't make the part any more and that I wouldn't be able to find one. Ordered the icemaker replacement. unplugged the unit, followed the simple instructions and got it done in less than 30 minutes. It did take a LONG time to start making ice. But it's working now.

Was concerned that new icemaker was quite a bit different than the one we were replacing. Called GE to confirm it was correct.

Went ahead and installed the unit, using the supplied electric cable adapter.

A little difficult to deal with the extra cable, but everything worked OK and it's making ice normally.

We have an older model refrigerator and thought it would be impossible to find a replacement ice bucket for the freezer. Not only did you have the exact part but it came unbelieveably fast. I would use your website again!
