3639654 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

I removed the maker from the freezer, three phillps head screws, I pulled off the white plastic cover and found the top (small) gear had poped out, after carefull inspection, I notice two missing teeth. At this time of the year our beach fridge is always full of food and drinks. Every time we want something it meant leaving the door open for extended time whlie moving things left, right and center. I placed the new part on the end of the freezer door guard and firmly pushed it in until it 'clicked'. Easy as pie! The more difficult part was to remove the broken off part inside the opening of the freezer door hwere the new bar end was to be inserted. I finally used thin nose pliers to reach in and grab the broken off part.

first I ordered parts that didn't work. the return process was painless and I found the part I needed, which just popped right in!

I took out the vegetable bins and slid in the part. Replaced vegetable bins. Works perfect. I was told locally that GE doesn't make the part any more and that I wouldn't be able to find one. First place I looked on the net was you and found it with no trouble at all. really thrilled to get it. Thanks

Ordered the icemaker replacement. unplugged the unit, followed the simple instructions and got it done in less than 30 minutes. It did take a LONG time to start making ice. But it's working now.

We have an older model refrigerator and thought it would be impossible to find a replacement ice bucket for the freezer. Not only did you have the exact part but it came unbelieveably fast. I would use your website again!

even my three year old grandson could do this one! open the door slide the old tray all the way out and slide the new one in. wha-la! p.s. I didnt use any tools, but to satisfy you I select nut driver.

Was concerned that new icemaker was quite a bit different than the one we were replacing. Called GE to confirm it was correct.

Went ahead and installed the unit, using the supplied electric cable adapter.

A little difficult to deal with the extra cable, but everything worked OK and it's making ice normally.

I pulled the refrigerator away from the wall and turned off the water to the refrigerator and unplugged it from the wall. After removing the icebucket from the freezer I located the mounting screws, loosened them, unplugged the electrical connection below the icemaker and carefully removed it from the freezer. I unpacked the replacement i ... Read more cemaker, matched it against the original and attached the electrical connection adapter. Using the slots provided on the new icemaker I placed it over the mounting screws after aligning the water inlet pipe properly. I tightened the mounting screws while maintaining the icemaker in a level position. I plugged in the electrical connector. Then I replaced the icebucket, plugged in the refigerator back into the 110VAC outlet, turned on the water and repositioned the refrigerator in it's normal position.

My repair was simple. Just put the shelf in the holes in the freezer. The AMAZING thing was how quickly I recieved the part after placing my order. I placed the order at about 3:30 pm on a friday checked the box for ground shipping and the part was at my door the next morning. I think that was a mistake, but I was impressed.

Performed self test.turned off ice maker switch four 5 minutes.Then turn on switch,within 10 seconds,pushed ice paddle 3 times,with 1 second in between each push.Push all the way back and release. Unplug refridge then loosened two bolts holding old ice maker. Lower then unplug and removed. Plugged in new harness and tightened two bolts to secure new ice maker. Plug in frig and wait for ice.

removed broken bin , slid new ice bin in closed door. I bought the complete part.
