36377 Kenmore - Instructions

The video on the GE site was great. Showed step by step instructions on how to remove the old ice maker and install the new one. Also helpful was the detail on the water chute which needed to be moved from the old ice make to the new one. Saved hundreds of dollars by not having to have a repairman do this work for me.

I watched the video from the link that was sent to me with the shipping notice. It was very easy to understand. I had no trouble at all. I'm 75 years old woman, however, and I can fix about anything. Don't be afraid to fix appliances yourself if you feel you have the knowledge.

Wathched the video and it was done in less than 15 min making ice again no problem

The adapter made the cord a bit long but other than that it was great!!!

Removed the faulty ice maker in about two min.. New unit was installed in approx. five min. Watched your video prior to installation and it helped greatly.

Ordered a new one and watched a YouTube video on how to do it. Really didn't need it, but it was a nice touch by Part Select because it made the repair go faster than it would had I not seen the video. I'm a housewife in her late 40's. Before ordering the part, I watched your video on how to remove and install the new icemaker. First I unplugged the refrigerator. After a few minutes, I unplugged the icemaker and unscrewed it. I lifted it a bit and removed it. I did not use the icecup that comes with the part. Instead I removed the o ... Read more ne from the old part and inserted it to the new one. Then I plugged in the new icemaker, placed it inside so as to match the holes and screwed it in. YES, it was that simple. It took me less than 10 minutes to do this. I saved myself over $100!!

took 1 screw out and removed ice maker and slid new one in and replace screw and connected power cord

Super easy, had my 15 year old do it (with my supervision).
Followed very clear Instructions that come with the replacement...
But, he could not get to the plug location until he removed 4 screws holding the motor assembly that spins the ice in the drawer and moved it out of the way...

Works like a charm.

Followed the video demo and would have been done sooner but for limited work space- narrow freezer compartment and the release tabs on the electrical plug. First home repair that the air was not blue and got done in under time allocated.

Took out the vegetable bins, the glass and the shelf rack. Replaced the left side and the center glide. Worked easily.

Reviewed video which was very helpful. Loosened two philips head screws, lifted up ice maker, unpluged power suppy and reinstalled. One of the easiest replacements ever!!
