i found that the door was to low was the problem shimmed the hinge on the bottom brought the door up so the gasket was ok so isent the new gasket back to you never attempted to change so i dont have any thing to tell you about instalation difficulty carl phillips

Using plyers Pulled old switch down and out. Put new one in and pushed new switch up into position. The switch plugs into the contacts, no wiring needed. Worked like a charm. You saved me 200 dollars GE repair bill. Thanks

Fairly easy I pull the fridge foward and remove the backing board and notice the fan wasn't working, so I remove the fan and bench tested and it was burned then I clean the condenser with compress air if you don't have air then a vacuum cleaner works then once the part arrived I install it the now if working very good

per your instructions

Emptied freezes, turned off power, took floor of freezer out [4 screws ], took two screws out of fan mounts and replaces fan. Reassembled by reverse process. Simple

refrigerator was not cooling. with new fan the refrigerator is working so well I had to turn it down to "1" to get the temerature right.

Removed Ice shelf,
Remove rectangle cover by removing the two screws and lifting straight up.
Pulled fan off slowly.
Removed two hex screws holding motor bracket.
Remove cover.
Remove two hex screws holding remaining bracket from fridge.
Pull wire off motor noting where they were plugged in.

Reverse to install.

The repair went smoothly and surpising easy! Get access to the back of the fridge. Unplug fridge, remove cardboard but save to put back in same place. Gently pry out switch in door jam with screwdriver and pull both connectors off and put connectors on new switch then push switch back into the hole. Looked it up on the internet and video showed how to and also had link to new part, ordered and less than a week later the fridge is bright again. I have an older freezer also and it seems ... replaced the screw and covered it with the plug. The pleasant surprise was that the requisite screw plug were available, especially after over 10 years.

Connected the 2 wires and pushed in the switch until it clicked.

Removed ice cube tray and fan cover using a cross-tip screwdriver. Old air duct foam had been damaged by defrosting meat and made entire refrigerator smell. Part easily slides out and slid in knew foam. Replaced with new air duct foam after thoroughly cleaning refrigerator by sliding it into place, replacing fan cover and ice cube tray. H ... Just snapped in.

Replaced cap and reinstalled. But I used iron nail inside cover to hold right side because crack was at right hole and right part would not help.

Pulled out old socket.pushed in new one.
