This is the second time replacing this fuse, last time was exactly one year ago. The first time I replaced it, I removed the oven from the wall & disassembled a number of things to reach the culprit. This time I left the oven mounted & was able to access the 2 grille mounting screws on the top of the grille & remove it. Next comes the bla ... Read more ck plastic air deflector held by two screws & is mounted in front & on the right, it is shown on the parts list just above part #1434. After removing it, remove the two silver cover screws in the front, this cover also doesn't have a part # but is shown to the right of part #1410. At this point you can lift this cover enough to access the fuse which is on the left & held in place by one tiny screw through the clamp at the top, (careful not to drop it when removing). PS: Don't forget to cut the power to the microwave before starting!

This was the second time I've had to open up the microwave. 1st time display would blank out but system would continue to operate. Found solder connections on board to LED display were defective. Read more unit operated bottom lead and wire would heat up. Couldn't measure a Discernable distance so either wire or connector connection surface was not sufficient to carry the current. 1st replaced sensor still wire heated up. Replaced connector and there was no sign how heat from resistances.

One small Phillips screwdriver and one fuse puller (I used cord). Unplug unit. Remove the two screws on the vent face plate. Remove the one screw on the panel assembly. Gently let hang. Pull the fuse located on the upper left wall. Replace fuse. Reassemble.

the online instructions were ideal - just unscrewed the right-hand screw (the only screw) and replaced the bulb by inserting gently but firmly)...getting the old bulb out was a pain, b/c it shattered in my grasp (with little bits of glass all over the stove!), but that has nothing to do with the purchase and installation from this site - ... First remove all screws holding on outer metal casing of microwave. Next remove the back and bottom metal pieces. You will then be able to pull aside the outer casing so you can access the door switches. Check each switch with an ohm meter in both the open position and with the switch closed. If the ohm meter reads the same in both the ... Read more open and closed position, the switch is bad. Check the top switch first. Replace switch and reassemble. Cheap fix for a costly microwave. Remove the bottom of the microwave and remove/replace table motor.

First I removed the inside of the door using a putty knife and loosening the edges. I removed the old latch by- (1) lifting up and sliding both the top and the bottom out of the door (2) pulling out the bottom part and (3) using a small plastic fork to push the spring off of the top part (paying close attention to how it was already sit ... Read more ting in the microwave). It required a little twisting (not much) and it came out.

I put the new spring on the new piece on the hook part. Then I put the new spring on the oven (where the old spring had been). I stretched the latch up and put the top slot back in and then with a little (very little) pressure I popped the bottom back in.

1. Unplug device.
2. Two people to remove from wall/cabinet (remove two, large, top mounting screws and rotate entire microwave down and off the wall mount). Should be some wood spacers between top of device and bottom of cabinet.

4. Remove one screw holding blowers in place and rotate out of the way, in order to gain access to 2 of 5 screws that hold the magnetron in place.
5. Unplug magnetron and remove the 5 screws.
6. Drop in new magnetron and re-assemble microwave in reverse order (steps 5-3).
7. Two people restore micro to wall/cabinet. Replace wood spacers, re-install two, large mounting screws (finger-tight). Test device. Secure the two large screws.

Removed one screw, removed cover, and replaced lamp. Pretty straightforward.

I attached the mounting plate to the wall as directed in the installation instructions which I had downloaded from GE. This procedure took 45 minutes to complete. I was then able to mount the microwave.

The actual repair required removing wave guide held in by one phillips screw was easy.

The tray came within 5 days and I simply took it out of its well-packaged box and slipped it into my microwave. It is working just like new. I can't thank you all for being so punctual and reliable. better than having to buy a brand new microwave.

Ordered the part. 2 days later part arrives. Took me 30 seconds to install the part. Sorry it was not more eventful.

Opened cover, pulled out old bulb, inserted new one, put cover back on. I was out of town when bulbs arived, my wife put it in. She said it was easy.

This was easier than I had expected. Many of the instructions involved removing the door. I decided to skip this when I found a Youtube video showing that the latch replacement required little disassembly. Here are my steps #1 Open door completely and, if needed, have someone steady it. #2 Using a thin plastic putty knife, gently pry ... Read more off the plastic fascia from the inside of the door. Try to break as few of the plastic retaining tabs as possible (my total was about 10). #3 Slide the old latch upward and outward towards the outside edge of the door with your putty knife. #4 Remove the old latch and spring. #5 Attach the new spring to the latch and hook it to the retainer on the door. #6 Lift the new latch into place, it will drop into the slots with no or little persuasion. #7 reinstall fascia. #8 "nuke" last night's pizza ;)
