36346 Kenmore - Instructions

Removed two scres that hold element in Place. Pulled out element about 3" and removed wire disconnect. Re-connected new element and re-installed mounting screws. Very easy. Parts were delivered promptly. Great service!!!! Thank you Parts select!!!!! Saved me a trip to Sears to purchas a new element or Stove.

Turned off circuit breaker for Range. Removed the 2 screws holding element and pulled wires attached to the element through holes. Disconnected the wires and attached new element. Had problem with one wire springing back into hole used paper clip to fish it back out of hole and then connected 2nd wire to heating element. Turned breaker ba ... Read more ck on and tested. Baked a cake. MMMMMMMM.

Took out the hexagon screws, used pliers to pull the connecting ends apart, slid in the new element in to the connecting slots, reattached to screws, turned on the oven to see if it would heat up and it did. With less than 24 hrs from ordering to delivery, I was making cookies. Installation was quick and painless.

I removed the 2 nuts and pulled the element out until I reached the disconnect and unhooked the elements from the wire. Replaced the new one in reverse order. It was great finding the part here after Sears said they no longer made the part.

removed two bolts on the inside of the oven, disconnected the two electrical connections in back which were a little set so I had to use pliers and removed old element. Reversed procedure to install new element.

The >15 minutes includes vacuuming out the oven.

I had grease on the baking element when I turned the oven on. I thought it would burn off, it caught fire and destroyed the baking element. I ordered a new element, it came within two days. I didn't wait for my husband to come home. I got a screw driver, took off the screw, used pliers to pull apart the old baking element from the wire ... Read more s. I did this carefully , our oven is old and the element was not pulling away easily. I inserted the new element, put the screws in and it worked perfectly! I was very proud of myself but the truth is that this is a simple job.

Removed oven door & shelves. Removed the 2 mounting screws & compared parts to verify I ordered the right one, then plugged it right in! Managed to drop & lose one of the screws while re-installing them. All in all, other than losing the screw, it was a quick, easy task.

Piece of cake. Pulled range out, unplugged it, opened stove, unscrewed element from back of stove w/ socket wrench, pulled out 1/2 way, unplugged bad bake element from the 2 wires, plugged in new bake element in, reattached to back of oven, plugged in stove and it worked.

Remove two screws holding element. Pull element forward exposing connections. Pull connections apart. Replace with new element. replace screws. Done

Remove dthe two screws and removed the element. Put the new element in and replaced the terminals and screws. Partselected is the fastest shippers on the net.

1. Turned breaker to the oven to the off position.
2. Removed screws from back of oven-This was the most difficult part of the entire process!
3. Pull out element about 3", then tugged a little harder to expose the wiring.
4. Unhooked wiring from element.
All of this took about 15 minutes.
When new one arrived ... Read more (less than 48 hours), I did the reverse of the above. This took about 6 minutes replace with new element. Thanks so much!

Removed the two screws pulled out the old element and slid the new element in and put the screws back in. I used it that night to bake supper

First I removed the two screws holding the element to the back of the oven. When I pulled the element out I disconnected the two wires and removed the element. I found the serial / part number on the existing part and order from PartSelect. The element arrived two days sooner than expected!! Replacing the element was a bit more difficu ... Read more lt in that I had to pull the stove away from the wall and remove the rear cover in order to pull the wires and element through the insulation in the back of the oven. Four screws held the rear cover, but once those were removed the element easily went into place and the repair was finished. Cleaning behind and under the stove took a few extra minutes but the entire repair only took about 30 minutes, plus the wait time for the part. Two tips, pliers were used to disconnect and reconnect the slip-on connectors. The connectors were pretty tight and reaching to the rear of the oven was difficult to get leverage to pull apart and reconnect. Also, the oven light caused considerable glare on my glasses so I taped the door button controlling the oven light and used a flashlight to see inside. Otherwise, a simple repair. PartSelect had the best price on the element and service and delivery were excellent!
