The igniter solved my oven problem. Than when I replaced the regulator the oven wouldn't work. After I found out there was a oven safety switch on the regulator, I flipped it! Then the oven lit rightup!

ordered parts, 2 double burners, 3 days later they arrived.opened box.
lift stove top, lift out old burner,placed next to new burner to see if they were the same. THEY WERE. place in new burner, checked to see if burner assembly fit correctly. IT DID.
units purchased were exact replacements. supplied spacer nuts not needed.

I followed the video instructions on the site. I unplugged the power supply and turned off the gas supply. I then removed the plate out of the bottom of the oven to get to the igniter. Then I removed the screws and unplugged the igniter to remove the old part. I had to purchase two porcelain wire nuts because the new part connection di ... Read more d not match up with the old connection. The repairs were quite simple and I had my oven back and working in no time. I am glad I read the comments from others because I thought it was my gas control valve, but they were right it was my igniter. This saved me time and money.

Replaced old with new.

Lifted the top and dropped in the new burners. Realized they always should have had the leveling washers provided so I took the burners off, dropped on the leveling washers and dropped the burners back on. This all took about 2 minutes. Really made the range top look a lot nicer.

With the model number I wnet on Parts select site and located the part through the problem finder selection,(GREATFEATURE!) (74% the problem is the Flat Style Oven Igniter) (watched the video on installation and compared my unit with the one in the video). Read more c is that the oven door can be removed completely to make it easier to get in the the oven, opening part way and lifting up the oven door will come completely off. Also the broiler pan drawer can be taken completely out if you would need to get in this way for some reason. Final note: I called the local GE dealer Parts dept- they would have had to order the part anyway and it would have cost three times what Parts Select charged me.Save $$$ great! .

First I removed the broiler from the bottom of the oven, then pulled the oven way from the wall to unplug it. I then removed the two screws that hold the igniter element in place. Ironically, the plug GE manufactures is reversed so i had to strip the plug and go end and reverse the wires to attach them to the oven. I used ceramic wire att ... My son took out the old burner bar and there was a hole burnt right through it. I ordered the part on Weds night and was surprised when we received it so quickly on Fri morning. I pulled the oven door off the hinges and took the bolts out of the bottom of the over that were holding the strip on. I then pulled the strip off and replaced it with the new on. I replaced the bolts and then replaced the door on the hinges.

When turning on the oven, I could see the ignitor red hot but it would not ignite the burner. I ordered the pair of new ignitor and burner tube. Upon removal of the burner tube, I saw a large hole in the tube where the center of the ignitor is located, clearly in need of replacement. Unlike some other ovens, the connector on the new ign ... Read more itor was the exact fit for my oven (Hotpoint RGB745BEA7WH). After access to the tube, the replacement took less than 10 minutes not including watching about 3 youtube videos on how to actually do the replacement prior. You should turn the gas and electric off but ooops, I forgot. I was shocked at how easy this was!

Removed the old glowbar's two screws. Didn't take a mental photo of its proper placcement (or a real one, which would've been smart).
