Original shave plate badly worn

With WD-40 or equivalent, spray the four nuts on the underside of the snow blower housing that hold the shave plate to the housing. Also spray the two bolts that hold the shave plate to the side of the housing. Let sit for a few minutes and using a 1/2" box end wrench remove the four nuts on the bottom of the housing.
